I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I received from Desk Stand. Last week, I bought a TekDesk v2.0 Standing Desk in a custom size of 240x120. However, when it was delivered, I realized it was larger than I had anticipated. Even though I had requested this size, I immediately contacted their sales support to discuss returning it for a smaller size. To my dismay, I was informed that because it was made to my specifications, it was not eligible for return. While I understand that this information was stated on their website, I explained to the representative that I didn't want a refund, just a slightly smaller desk. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, the representative initially declined my request. It was only after 30 minutes that she responded saying they would be willing to cut it for me, but at an additional cost of R850, excluding collection and delivery fees. I find it baffling that I am being asked to pay R850 when the extra customization for the larger size was only R800. Regardless of my oversight in checking their return policy, I believe they could have been more accommodating, especially since the size I purchased was explicitly advertised as "customizable." Why can't they allow a return if they offer this size as an option? The sales consultant was quick to request payment for the cutting service, but when it came to providing customer service, she was unhelpful. Furthermore, I did not receive any warranty certificate, which adds to my disappointment in their overall customer service. As a result of this experience, I have decided not to make any future purchases from them.
