Sometimes things may not go perfectly

We’ve previously had a wonderful experience with their hamburgers at de Vreugd, which is why the five of us were excited to return for dinner on Friday evening. However, this time the food didn’t meet the expectations set by our previous visit.. Both the hamburgers and chicken schnitzel were very disappointing.

The hamburger meat was mushy and lacked the proper texture, after the first bite we couldn't finish them, while the schnitzel was also very dry. The mushroom sauce, which we expected to enhance the meal, was with no mushroom flavor at all, making it hard to enjoy.

We understand that sometimes things may not go perfectly – it’s possible the chef was having an off day. That said, because dining out is a treat for many, we were hoping for the same high standard that we experienced before, especially at the price point.

We wanted to share this feedback in hopes that it might help improve consistency in the future. While this experience wasn’t what we expected, we know that de Vreugd has the potential to deliver excellent meals, and we hope that our comments can contribute to that.
