Absolutely gobsmacked at your BRILLIANT SERVICE. South Africa is known for its poor service, but the staff at DLA obviously work really hard. We were battling to get a textbook and I told Ryan to call me any day or time. He called me at 19:10 on a Friday evening to tell me their one suppliers has new stock. I went online and ordered it straight away. Britt and Megan called me to see how our kids were settling into their new school and if they were battling with any work. My son had a chat with Britt about his science workpack and booked a Zoom call. My kids have settled in really well. DLA understands that my kids play tennis professionally and they really do a great job of assisting us, especially when they have to travel for away games. We came from a large distance school who just took any student and forgot about them, so moving to DLA was a big relief for us. DLA is more affordable but still pricey in my opinion, so we have extra money to travel with the kids. Unlike other ‘franchisee schools in SA who charge three times the price and offer no communication. Great to be on the DLA parent team. Thank you Megs, Shan, Rich, Britt and Ryan.

Distance learning schools have a bad name in South Africa, but DLA your have been only but a pleasure to deal with. A school that cares about its students and parents. Our kids were prepared for their exams (April/May) thanks to your work packs and online math lessons. You were honest and recommended where they needed help. A small school yet a school who knows what they are doing. 2022 was been a successful year for our children. I appreciate Britt and Shannon’s input, especially when my son became lazy. You noticed a dip in his work and brought it to our attention. Very happy we moved across to you, sadly it was only in 2022 as I wish we had done this sooner. This year has been a great year for our kids and we look forward to finishing off 2023 with a bang.

Ryan and Bev you helped in ways that words cannot explain. My constant calls and emails were always responded to. DLA you gave us the correct information and advice and for that we are truly grateful. Shannon you advised us on the subject choice for my kids and you were correct. My kids have flourished and now have time to enjoy their extra mural activities, unlike the previous school who just pushed them ahead when they were not ready. I have kept a close eye on their assignment marks and they have gradually improved week by week. Both have a confidence boost since understanding their work and don’t feel ‘stupid’ like the previous top branded institution made them feel. DLA you were the right choice, a nervous decision but we are all happy we made the move across. Looking forward to my kids graduating through DLA. Overall honest people and a helpful school who are passionate about education.

I would recommend DLA as this school is honest and helps students. Not like other schools who give you the work, take your money & you don’t hear from them. After we joined DLA my daughter decided to not do any of her assignments and the Ryan picked up on it and informed me. I appreciate how they don’t just give you the work and leave you to fend for yourself. We have regular communication with the school. Jean did regular French lessons & Ryan kept us informed of her progress as she was not coming to grips with her math work. Shannon would email me regularly with regards to where my daughter was batting. Shannon recommended my daughter not write exams in May but rather November and give her more time to prepare. In the beginning I did not agree but it was honestly the best decision we made. The extra time allowed her to focus on exam prep and understanding her work. The assignments helped tremendously. The loadshedding affected our online lessons but DLA still scheduled time around our power problems to help. I am absolutely disgusted at how other schools treat the students & parents. I was very hesitant to join DLA and have a repeat of our previous experience. We have joined DLA for her final year of school this year. Looking forward to more great assignment & exam marks. Thank you DLA for caring about my daughter.

Great school, they don’t take on too many kids and leave you in the dark. Being a single mom I needed extra assistance from DLA. The staff are friendly. After one month with DLA I get a call from Ryan to inform us my son has not done any of his assignments. Our other distance school just left us in the dark. I am happy DLA cares about its students. We worked with Ryan on a weekly basis doing online lessons to help my son with the areas he was battling with. His assignment marks improved over time & I could see his confidence improve as well over the year. We had weekly zoom meetings with the Ryan & Jean which calmed my nerves and helped my son with any questions they had regarding assignments and exams. My son is passionate about French. Jean was patient with him in all the online classes. We are now planning a Trip to France after his BRILLIANT French exam marks.

Worst experience ever. Shannon Vorster will take your children's dreams and your hopes and blow Ashes back into your face after 2 years of very hard work, unfulfilled promises. IGCSE South African History prescribed text book is not even in print anymore. My child was told the work pack will prepare him for exam's, it didn't. We where left in the dark, unprepared after a year of work, we enrolled and paid for exams with the good assignment marks and found the Previous Papers question included work not even covered in Workpacks. DLA took our money and NEVER delivered on their promises. The ENTIRE staff of DLA consist of 2 people! No teachers! Feedback after 2 weeks, minimum, on assignments if your lucky and Ask for it!!! This school needs to be closed to before more children's lives are ruined!!!
