credit card reserved amount
Fair pricing on rental vehicles. However, they take too long to release the hold on the credit card reserved amount for insurance. I returned the vehicle on 25 Dec 2025, it is now 14 Jan 2026 and the money is still reserved. The agent mentioned that it takes 5 working days to release the funds, however when I later enquired with customer services, they mentioned it takes 7-21 working days.

20 Jan 2026, 06:54It's 20 Jan 2026, Dollar Thrify Car Rental SA still hasn't released the hold on the insurance amount. Not sure if Hertz Car Rental manages this.
