Fair pricing on rental vehicles. However, they take too long to release the hold on the credit card reserved amount for insurance. I returned the vehicle on 25 Dec 2025, it is now 14 Jan 2026 and the money is still reserved. The agent mentioned that it takes 5 working days to release the funds, however when I later enquired with customer services, they mentioned it takes 7-21 working days.
The agent was very friendly, took her time to understand my policy requirements, walked through my entire portfolio and managed to reduce the Premium with some additonal cover
unnecessary telemarketing, even though I have asked not to be contacted.
I received a phone call at about 16:00 on 29 Sept 2015 from a contractor named Feroz from Blue Mercury who tried to sell me an insurance for my vehicle from Discovery Insure. Despite telling him several times that I am not interested, and even let him speak to an unhappy Discovery Client, he continued to try to sell me the insurance. After 10 minutes into call I told him I am cutting this the call, but he tried 30 times in 10 minutes. I have the call recorded and a screenshot of the call log. Is Discovery Insure so desperate for clients, that they contract organizations that hire individuals like this? Please can you instruct your contractors NOT to contact me for Insurance sales, I am not interested - especially after an annoying phone call like this one.
