Avoid DC Pool and Daryl at all costs -
We added a 1 Star as there is no way to add zero stars. Daryl promised the sun moon and stars but once he got paid he went missing. We paid a deposit in November for him to add a pool and decking to our property although we were worried about builder holidays he assured us it was no issue and he was going to work through, anyway he ended up starting in January after lots of excuses, he started very strong and kept pushing and pushing for additional funds but still had not completed much of the basic foundation, we went along with it as we wanted the work finished, he kept going missing for days and would return with another story, this nightmare went on until March and the workmanship on the decking was terrible and the pool was finished so badly. Each time we questioned him , he vanished again for days. As the work was coming up to 70% finished he wasn’t pushing and pushing to get the balance of the money even though he promised would redo part of the decking and re do the finishes on the pool. My wife paid him the balance of the money keeping back 5%. We have never seen him again. We had to bring in new contractors to finish the pool and redo all the decking which finally got completed in June as we basically redid everything. Daryl never answered his phone again and remains on the run with our money. He can keep the money we just want to warn others of his practices.

<p>We used to own a company called Dolphinpools Port Elizabeth we had the company since 2007. The company name was Registered. Later a Mr Henk van Dyk started a company In Gauteng in the Four ways area. He took our old company name in 2013. We have had numerous comments about Mr. HENK VAN DYK not completing pools , leaving people on sight with out supervision and running off with people's money. Please take note that he operates on the West Rand he has no affiliation with Dolphinpools Port Elizabeth. He used to work for Pool rite Services as a pool technician and has no experience with building and fibreglass pools. He is a Conman and you use him at your own risk. Dolphinpool services suck.</p>

Good day. I would just like to warn all future customers to under no circumstances do business with Darrell Fleming now trading as DC POOLS Not only has he stolen money from numerous customers but he has also shamelessly traded under my name leaving many people without money and a pool. He has never worked for Dolphin Pool Services and is not affiliated with this company at all. Not only has he worked and robbed people under my company name, he has also booked into hotels under this name (Dolphin Pool Services) and then runs off not paying the hotel bills. I have been confronted by more than one of his clients which he left with empty promises and out of cash on more than one occassion. Due to his dishonest conduct my name and company name have taken a lot of strain over the years and a lot of potential customers have turned away due to his deception. Please note there is only one legally registered Dolphin Pool Services and we operate from Gauteng Province. We are not located in Cape Town, PE or Durban. Any pool company operating under this name in any other city besides JHB is not the real Dolphin Pool Services.

Pure incompetance,unproffessional,cutting corners everywhere,scam atrist who preys on the elderly and a genuine thief,namely Darryl Fleming.
My mother donated a pool on my property. There was a December/January special that she got for the building of a pool and a lapa for R65 000.00. It was going to be our 1st pool.Unfortunately, the 2nd best quote was for R68 000.00 without a lapa. She got scammed and ost a lot of money. She then went to the 2nd cheapest quote and the pool was already dug out and cemented with reinforcement.Darryl flleming heard that my mother got ripped off and zoned in for the ****.His next quote was R40 000.00 and R20 000.00 upfront.Now this all had happened in January and Darryl took over the job in February.He claimed that it will take him 10 days and assured us that we would be swimming in no time. After his poor start,and very slow, he still confirmed that the pool would be done by the end of March. The 1st week he didnt arrive, the 2nd,3rd,4th week he dropped 1 Labourer off 1 day a week for maybe 2hours those days and disappeared another 2 weeks. My mother is a teacher and was going overseas to visit my brother.By this stage the season for swimming was over and he agreed to finish the pool before she got back. By this time, I and my sister were on his case to finish his obligations while all he wanted was more money.When he was according to him 3quarters of the way,we agreed tp pay him another quarter to assist him for completion.While he was doing the bare minimal while we were consistently asking where he was,all he was telling us was his problems with his personal issues and finally admitted to spending my mothers money. He should have been finished by end March. After my mom came back from overseas,nothing much had been done.He told my sister,myself and my electrician at the time to all **** off.This is his conduct towards his clients/customers.He then demanded another R25 000.00 to finish the job after he had aleady admitted to spending the money my mother gave him for the pool.Now its middle of November and this unproffessional incompetant scam artist theif still hasnt come near finishing the job.I gave you his name as well as the company he claims to own.Beware of this fine speciman.

Shocking workmanship and fraud
After having been scammed once already and having a cemented gaping hole in my back garden, I contacted another company, namely Dolphin Pools in Port Elizabeth, owned by Darrell Flemming. He assured me with keenness and confidence that he would give me a sparkling sky blue pool. He knew full well that he was taking over an incomplete job from scammers. He promised me that I could count on him finishing the job. He took a while to come and then came sporadically to do the odd job. My son asked to deepen the pool so we had to pay an extra R6,000 which he did. Then he had attitude with my children while I was overseas and he refused to come back and finish the job. I went personally to his house with a friend and spoke about the problem. He agreed to come finish the pool but only came a few more times and left the paving unfinished. He was supposed to marbelite my pool and all I got were empty promises and a complete shutdown in communication. When I eventually got hold of him he asked for more money. I had paid him 75% of the quote as requested and the last 25% was only due on completion to my satisfaction. I am far from satisfied as the marbelite is not there and he said he did the paving instead of that so he settled for 2 coats of blue paint that was not even damp-proofed. I now have a pool that is brown and white and blue in patches because he cut corners. I now have to get a third company to fix up his mess and finish the work. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE AND VERY STRESSFUL AND COSTLY. I am a widow and my family is arriving from overseas for Christmas and this pool is a total disaster. Do not use DOLPHIN POOLS AS HE IS A SCAMMER AND A FRAUD. My contact number is ********** 020.

Dolphin pools in Gauteng gave me an Algae pool
<p>Eric from Dolphin Pools JHB did the job to re-marble lite the pool and he originally quoted R7000. I was sceptical and decided to buy the materials myself which came to R9000. He messed my tiles with marble lite and promised to fix it. He then filled the pool and abandoned it. I've tried calling numerous times and he just ignores my calls. I'm left with a completely green algae infested pool and I've wasted money filling the pool. The new marble lite that I just did is most likely going to be stained!!'Eric from Dolphin pools is a thief and the company should not be used.</p>
