A form of abuse

My mom found Dr Gita Makan to possibly help me find out if the cause of my acne is hormonal.

As an endocrinologist the scope of her specialty should be obvious but Dr Makan subjected me to so many unnecessary autoimmune related tests.

Despite the fact that I’m an athlete and had no other complaints she insisted on entertaining the idea of an autoimmune condition. The tests found nothing out of the ordinary, but

she also subjected my mom and sister who visited her, to multiple autoimmune disorder related tests. There was no history of any such disorders in our entire family history.

Dr Makan is clearly looking for something that is not there. And creating concerns that never existed before.

For the tests, she insisted I use Lancet labs even though I had used Ampath in the past. Her secretary refused to provide a authorisation code and had no knowledge of the testing process.

The labs tried to communicate with the secretary but the practise would not communicate with anyone after they’d been paid by me.

Now I am being harassed by Ampath to pay for all these useless tests out of pocket because we could not get cooperation from her practise.

The medical aid will only pay for the tests if they receive cooperation but they refuse any.

The experience I had is a form of abuse.
