Bad admin costs patient money.

Went to trauma unit in December 2022. The admin staff didn't do their job properly,by calling my medical aid for pre authorization, and only got the authorization after I left the Hospital. This caused my medical aid to only pay 70% of the bill, and forcing me to pay 30%. The medical aid plan I was on was suppose to cover 100%. According to my medical aid, it is standard practice to call for pre authorization when a patient walks in, but due to laziness and complete lack of ethics, this wasn't done.

Therefore, if you have the misfortune of having to go to this hospital, insist that they call for pre authorization, while you witness them doing it.
