Worst!!!!I took my son to Oosthuysen EngelBrecth at Netcare in Akasia on the 29th December 2019 and because my medical aid funds were exhausted I ofcourse had to pay cash for every single thing that had to be performed on him. I get a notification 1st week of January and they still billed me on my medical aid for what I had already paid for in cash. I gave them a call and they advised that they will send me an email which I will have to respond to with my banking details for a refund to be processed. 2 hours later no email. I swear I gave them them 3 follow up calls and still no email. What buffoonery is this? What were they doing on my medial aid funds anyway? Crooks! I want my money. And I will stop at absolutely nothing to get it back.

<p>Good morning,</p> <p> </p> <p>I was in for a sonar at Dr Oosthuysen, Engelbrecht Ingelyf on 24/06/2016. The invoice has stamped on it final demand but this is the first account from these radiologists that I am receiving which was collected from the post box two weeks ago. I’d also like to state that I did not receive the first nor the second account before receiving the final demand months later. I have not had a phone call, sms or email from the radiologists accounts department to let me know the account is outstanding before them handing my account over to attorneys. The radiologists accounts department claims to have sent me one sms which I have searched for over and over and cannot find. When I ask for proof of delivery all they can respond with is “that every customer can tell me they didn’t receive the sms.” Hartman Attorneys as well as the radiologists accounts department have both been very rude, unhelpful and keep sending me from one to another in order to sort this problem out. The attorneys also sms'd me for the first time last week - I first of all find this highly unprofessional. Second, when trying to dial the first number they give in the sms it gave a selection and then just continued to ring with no answer. I called through to the second number and with my complaint was told that management would be contacted and they would call me back. I unfortunately missed the call but when trying to return the call at 4pm could not get through on either number after which I left a voice message. They did not get back to me at all after that – I then called them again and was eventually told that I need to take this up directly with the radiologists account department. When I called the radiologists account department and questioned why my account was being handed over to attorneys before trying to contact me to alert of me of this I was told that I did not supply an email address and that they don’t have the time to phone patients about overdue accounts, that I must contact the attorneys as the account has been handed over and she refuses to argue with me. I would like to reiterate that I was not arguing, simply asking why I was not contacted to which her response was obviously very defensive.</p> <p> </p> <p>I did receive the email from my medical aid to say that I was in my self-payment gap but I needed to wait for an account to be sent as I had no banking details nor did I have a confirmed amount from the radiologists themselves.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am aware of the fact that I am responsible for the charges that were out of benefit and I am happy to pay the R936-50 owed to Dr Oosthuysen, Engelbrecht Ingelyf but I am not happy about the account being handed over to attorneys before even trying to retrieve the money from me and I am now expected to pay legal fees which pushes my amount up to R1639-15.</p> <p> </p> <p>I feel this is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional and lazy. I do not see why radiologists or any business for that matter, have an accounts department specifically to handle accounts only to hand everything over to attorneys because they dont have the time to make even as much as a courtesy call to confirm account received, sms received or any other confirmation. An sms is not sufficient, cannot be proven and is completely unprofessional. </p>
