disappointed guest at Drakensburg Sun Resort / Hotel
I booked 3 premium rooms and was allocated to the ground floor which is the garden units. The rooms are smelling of dampness and really aged. There are dehumidifier in the passage to overcome the damp smell. I had my grandchildren with me and this is totally unacceptable. After speaking to the manager Afrikiev we got allocated to different room scattered on different floors. The rooms are also very old with carpets which is really old and unpleasant. This review is to make people aware especially if you have children do take into consideration that this hotel is carpeted throughout and really aged. This establishment should be closed until refurbishing is done. People do not waste your hard earned money coming to the Drakensburg Sun Resort / Hotel until the place is refurbished. My reference numbers for the 4 rooms are as follows 14536098 / 14536099 / 14536100

Wonderful Weekend Away
Spent the weekend at the Hotel and had an exceptional experience. The Deputy GM Theo and his team went beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable one. From little personalised notes to delicious dinners and exceptional pizzas. There are alot of family activities to keep you busy and enough quiet spaces to relax and unwind.

Wonderful Weekend Away

Pathetic service
I sent an email on the 28th april enquiring about a Lakeview resturant special I saw on their website. Today I've made several follow-upsvia email with no response at all.I've made several attempts to reach the hotel with no success and eventually contacted the Sun international call centrr and was provided with a cell number. The guy I spoke to said he was requesting the staff at Lakeview to give me a call regarfing my request. I've called in 3 times already and it's now after hours and no-one has been in touch.

Lambs to the slaughter for no good reason
Nice place but the Lamb Chops for R220 weren't worth more than the serviettes it came with. 3 tiny flavourless chops with super tiny amount of steamed veg and little bit of chips & what I assume was supposed to be gravy. R220 guys, I expect more, the "rosemary" was non existent.
