I booked a rental car with Drive South Africa and was given a voucher to produce to a third party Thrifty. On the collection day Thrifty could pickup my booking but not the payment which was made online with Drive South Africa. They processed my booking and was told they would follow up on my voucher. To my surprise I was debited a day's rental amount by Thrifty. I followed up with Drive South Africa as I had made the booking with them. I was given a run around about investigating and finally told that Thrifty made a mistake and that they would initiate a refund. I have nit received a refund to date and I followed up with Drive South Africa with no response this time. On the last communication they indicated that this issue is now out of their hands hence I requested trail of communication with Thrifty and the relevant person to follow up with on my refund.
