I bought a set of Dunlop FM800 225/55/16 for my vehicle from Dunlop Zone in Midrand. I had Michelin tyres on, but was looking for something affordable. I had absolutely no issues with my Michelins( no vibrations etc). Ash was the salesman. Vehicle was returned for re-balancing after a week as there was a vibration on the tyres. They did balance again, and 3 days later, was returned AGAIN as the vibration was still there. They referred me to Dunlop Technical in Jet Park( Charles and Francois). I had to make an"appointment"as they do not help "drive in"customers at all, and was only managed to be assisted about a week later on appointment. Jet Park(Charles) balanced the tyres again, and replaced 2x tyres as they were faulty units. After about a week, i was back again( and had to go through the process of making a booking again) and Francois did the balancing himself. Francois picked up that 2x rims were "damaged", thus the reason for the vibration.(even though i had NO vibrations on my Michelins) 3 Days later I was back, and the "un-damaged" rims was vibrating badly(again). i informed him that i will get the "damaged"rims repaired, and will return the car for another assessment( this will be the 6th time!!!!!!). Francois couldn't fit me in for the remainder of the week (wed-fri). He was/is to "busy"
I am sick and tired of the whole Dunlop attitude. Over a month Ihave been battling to get SERVICE from Dunlop. I Think this as absolutely absurd, and unacceptable. I have wasted hrs and hrs of time off work, and hundreds of rands worth of fuel!!!
All i need is my tyres sorted!!!!!!!
I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY ANY DUNLOP PRODUCTS AGAIN.
