This work shop mechanic/Manager/supervisor is the worst work shop and mechanics that Volkswagen will ever have! Any Volkswagen branch won't have worst then this even if they tried! In December 2021 we took my scirocco in for a major service and some odd things to sort out.
1.1 windows and sunroof not working. 1.2 fuel overflow when we fill up the vehicle. 1.3 right front light not working.
We received a report saying: The water pump is leaking and some other items that are faulty. The overflow pipe is fixed. They recommended that we need to take the vehicle to a auto elec as they do not find the fault.
We said that we will get the water pump and bring it back after we had a vacation.
Then we received the vehicle back from Duttons... the whole vehicle is a mess!!
Vehicles warning light comes on: Check left head light Check right head light ESP (not sure what that means) The over flow of feul still a problem Lock and unlock button stuck in the middle of the door and door panel.
I phoned them immediately after the holidays we had in December and told Lehan about all the issues on the car now. He said that I need to bring the vehicle back to Duttons in January, and we did.
They called me after almost 2 weeks later to collect the vehicle as it is now fixed, (not thrusting them I told them that I want to fill up the car with fuel before we leave and pay).
As suspected!!! Door lock and unlock button still stuck! Fuel still over flow! Warning lights still on!
They said that the windows won't work as my computer box is for a golf 5 and not a scirocco the VIN numbers of the Scirocco and the VIN on the computer box is not the same!! It will cost me R43 000 to fix this issue but they are not sure if the windows will work after they replaced the computer box!
I just feel that I have paid R11 471.25 for nothing and there is still a bill waiting!
Duttons won't see me or any of my family members again!
The workshop manager/supervisor (Danie) blames this all on the poor lady working at reception! According to me he said that they never told him! Don't think that se have to feed him with a s**** as all of this stands on the job card! All he needs to do is read!!
Lora-Lee gave me the best service and did what she was supposed to do! Treat a customer with respect and a smile!
