We were charged over R3000 for a change of a door lock. This lock broke and was replaced by the business. The replacement lock broke as well after 4 months. When I contacted the handyman of this business that attended to change the locks, he denied that his company would have ever billed us accordingly. Invoice came from a "Gauteng Mobile Services & Repairs" - no registration number.
In retrospect, I should not have paid the invoice at all and they could have claimed it from me through a legal route - would have cost them more :) Lesson Learned
We now simply got a lock from Builders Warehouse and installed it on our own.
