During our journey with EgyptAir, we experienced prolonged and repeated flight delays, accompanied by inconsistent and misleading explanations provided by your staff. We were initially informed that delays were due to aircraft cleaning, only for this explanation to later change to unspecified “technical issues.” These contradictory statements raise serious concerns regarding transparency, operational preparedness, and compliance with passenger information obligations. As a direct and foreseeable consequence of these delays, we missed two confirmed connecting flights which resulted in significant disruption to our travel plans, financial loss, and inconvenience. No adequate rebooking assistance, compensation, or mitigation was provided at the time. Furthermore, the level of care extended to passengers during the delay was wholly insufficient. We were provided with cold meals, a packet of biscuits, and a small juice, which does not meet reasonable standards of passenger welfare, particularly in light of the duration of the delays and missed connections. We were also repeatedly relocated between gates G1 and G21, with minimal communication and no clear instructions. This lack of coordination and passenger management further compounded the disruption and distress experienced.

Our family a group of 12 decided to fly with Egypt Air fto get to our holiday destination. What a disappointment it was, 1st leg of flight was average and then it all just went down hill. Seats that we paid and booked long before the time were not correct, family were supposed to sit together we were all over the place. Seats were booked so my 12 yr old daughter and wife did not have to sit next to strange men. when we complained on the plane we advised they can go sit right at the back of the plane as its empty only for them to be told mid flight that its for the cabin crew to sleep. On the home leg they sent an email 48hrs( i believe this is sufficient notice time in industry standard we were told by the rude staff) before our depart date that the plane has been delayed from the evening to the next morning 5:45am, only for it to be delayed another 90min as they were waiting for the plane to travel. Once on the plane, again our paid seats were not allocated as it should with family scattered all around the plane.(yes we should have checked the tickets when we checked in but paid seats thought this was sorted). was really not a great experience. we Flew with Egypt air 3x in the past no issues but this time round from ground crew, to management, to cabin crew they all disappointed. Already planning our next holiday guess who we not flying with.

WOW The most shocking customer service I have ever experienced. My VISA was delayed and to rebook my flights was painfully expensive and there were no empathy from the staff. I ended up canceling my flight using their online platform on Monday 18 August 2025 and i am still waiting for my refund. I have emailed and called their finance department (Who has 2 ppl only) and they have never called me back or rep**** to my emails. I will not recommend them to anyone ever! Rather pay more and use KLM traveling to to Europe.

On Friday, 31 July 2025, I had the worst travel experience with EgyptAir at Cairo International Airport. I was rushing through heavy traffic to catch a direct flight to Johannesburg, but the check-in counter staff were shockingly unhelpful and unprofessional. They were unfriendly, argued loudly in Arabic in front of passengers, and worked painfully slowly, with a clear “don’t-care” attitude. Their tardiness caused me to miss my flight, despite arriving in time to make it if they had done their jobs efficiently. This experience was frustrating and unacceptable. I will never fly EgyptAir again and will warn other travelers to think twice before booking with this airline.

Utterly unreliable. Constant delays and no help whatsoever when finding connecting flights that you miss because of their ineptitude. Rude ******** staff. You are better off walking. Seriously though, rather pay more and find any alternative available

Re: Ticket numbers: 083 2132736679 and 083 2132736680 Booking ref: 7KEEOW Flight: MS 839 (SA7207) on 31 January 2025 Flight MS 839 was booked and paid for on 20 November 2024. It was chosen to fit in with an organised tour (paid for in November 2024) that ended on Thursday 30 January 2025. Flight MS 839 was due to depart Cairo at 22:50 on Thursday 30 January 2025. (Flight MS 839 is a code shared flight with SAA - SA 7207) On or around 24 December 2024, I was informed that the departure date and time for flight MS 839 had been changed and that it was now to be Friday 31 January 2025 at 11:25. The organised tour operator could not accommodate us with an extra night as their quota at the hotel was fully utilised. We had to book at our cost a hotel for Thursday night 30 January 2025. The extra night’s stay, without dinner, was USD 257.60 (EGP 12’965.00). I wrote to Egyptair requesting a refund for the extra night in a hotel. A standard answer came back immediately to which I rep****: "I am impressed by the speed of your response. I am certainly NOT IMPRESSED by the standard response which shows absolutely no concern for your clients. And certainly, does not reflect your “intention to support all our passengers with the best service level.” Should this sort of reply be the only way of support you can give your clients, I will take every precaution to avoid using your airline again. Furthermore, I shall be giving Egyptair bad reviews wherever and whenever possible. I should add that the quality of the business class on flight MS 839 on 31 January was well below the standards of SAA. The toilets were filthy, the windows had not been cleaned for months, the interior was tatty and the service was sub-standard. I saw no reason at all for the cabin staff insisting that ALL the blinds had to be down during the whole flight. It was a daylight flight and the clients should have been allowed to enjoy the flight, reading in good light, chatting etc.. And finally, the safety procedures were flaunted. I saw one passenger still wrapped up and asleep horizontally when we landed. This standard of safety can put all passengers at risk.
