Shocking! Do not use this locksmith. He a 76s called out to open my kitchen door. He was unable to pick the lock and proceeded to drill a large hole in the door. He was unable to remove the lock and replace it with another because he did not have the stock. Due to time constraints I declined his offer to go purchase a lock and replace it. My intention was to replace it myself later that day.. When I removed the handle, (In my door) was so badly damaged and the metal too badly knarled from the drill, that I was unable to slide it out to fit the new lock. He has refused to come back and remove the lock (or even replace it with the lock I have now purchased. Invoice was also generated from his car, and rates are very high given the simplicity of the type of lock and the mess he made.. Very, very disappointing

I contacted E&J Services to assist with a broken key in a lock. I was quoted a call out fee. Eddie arrived. I showed him the lock. He told me the repair would cost R2000 which I told him I do not have. He said he'd, "make a plan". Ten minutes later he called me and handed me keys saying that he'd completed the repair. he invoiced me from his car. The invoice for R1965. He didn't give me an option to pay the call out fee and just went ahead, after I'd told him the amount he had given me is not in my price range. When I contacted Jessica at the "office" she told me that they are just a call centre and have no control over the technician. I feel totally ********** and ****med.

I would like to report on how a so called "locksmith" ripped me off when I was highly stressed/shocked after a burglary & needed my house secure asap. Normally I would replace the locks myself but was too busy with SAPS & CMS at the time. Eddie who works under name of E&J Services came out & charged me R2190 for the two locks that he replaced. Note that was EXCLUDING the R850 labour & R295 call out fee. (Total R3,335) Man at Jacks Hardware could not believe it when I showed him. These locks sell for less then R180 each !! I did query the high price of R1295 for the security lock. His answer was it is special pin lock? (Not even working properly) As per the store most that it can cost if ever is R400? Ps. Insurance will only pay me R1000 total. Sorry, but just hate it when people take advantage of you like this!
