BEWARE OF USING ZAPPER PAYMENT SYSTEM. Herewith a friendly WARNING to all the thousands of people like myself who use ZAPPER on a daily basis to pay for services or online purchases. For years every transaction will go smoothly until ONE day!! :-( On the 18th April I paid Bob Shop via Zapper for a Sound bar listed by PC Spot. This was for my BD. The amount of R1187 was debited to my Bank Account immediately. I was happily waiting for my purchase but days later when I enquire about delivery I was told that Zapper did not pay Bob Shop & they therefore did not pay PC Spot. On enquiry from Zapper I was told that sorry an ERROR happened on THEIR side & they will REFUND me. In the meantime I have paid Bob Shop AGAIN via EFT. Since then despite numerous phone calls/emails to Zapper my REFUND was STILL not done. Trying to get any Manager to speak to or phone you back is simply impossible. T Today after more than a week I was told my REFUND is now with Nedbank (their Payment Processor) BUT it will take another 7-14 days before I will get my money. So bottom line is. I must now as a Pensioner wait for 3 WEEKS for my refund & still not sure if I will in fact ever get it?? Will report back on that. REALLY BAD SERVICE & TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Dear All, Re: Zapper Payments. Please be WARNED that without any reason Zapper would fail to pay the Supplier you bought online from. Amount of R1187 in my case. Then the excuses start why your refund is taking so long. After a week fighting with them I have now been told the refund is now with Nedbank & will take another 7-14 days! Really! Why? 😡 Please check there are 35 BAD Zapper reviews on Hellopeter mostly about the same problem. Time will tell if I will ever get my refund? Trying to speak to any Manager is absolutely impossible. My advice: Do NOT use Zapper for any payments, you might regret it. Regards.
Friend deposited R175 cash into my Puresave Acc for some Coffee Mugs Standard Bank then charged me a R95 depostit fee for that lousy low amount being deposit. Leaving me with a Nett income of R80 !!! :-( They should be ashamed !! That being a loyal client for 50 years !!
I would like to report on how a so called "locksmith" ripped me off when I was highly stressed/shocked after a burglary & needed my house secure asap. Normally I would replace the locks myself but was too busy with SAPS & CMS at the time. Eddie who works under name of E&J Services came out & charged me R2190 for the two locks that he replaced. Note that was EXCLUDING the R850 labour & R295 call out fee. (Total R3,335) Man at Jacks Hardware could not believe it when I showed him. These locks sell for less then R180 each !! I did query the high price of R1295 for the security lock. His answer was it is special pin lock? (Not even working properly) As per the store most that it can cost if ever is R400? Ps. Insurance will only pay me R1000 total. Sorry, but just hate it when people take advantage of you like this!

Needed an urgent locksmith after a burglary at my house. Contacted this "Call Centre" who send me guy by name of Ediie from E&J Services who RIPPED me off badly while I was stressed with charge of R2190 for 2 locks costing less than R400 in store. No quote was given. This was excluding the call out fee & labour cost. Total R3335 for a job not worth more than R1400. They send you so called "Technicians" that only rip you off!! :-( ( See my seperate review about E&J Services as well)
Regret I had exactly the same fridge repair experience with Frank as Lee C. He came out quickly, fix problem & charge R1300. Said there was a 3m Guarantee as per the Invoice. Three weeks later same problem, fridge not cooling. Contacted him but just empty promises from Frank, never came back again to fix it. :-( Can definitely NOT recommend him at all! Must now get/pay someone else to fix it again,
Was contacted by Kathleen Naidoo on 31/01/2022 from this group on behalf of MTN to renew a data contract without a new modem. Then decided to change it to an upgrade with a new modem. Went to great length & trouble to phone them & CANCEL the old contract. They ensured me it will be done in 48 hours. Went to MTN office at La Lucia this week to get a new modem & contract. Was told the OLD one was NEVER cancelled. Had to BUY a new modem. Very POOR service from this Group.
