My Dad turned 70 years old on the 27th Feb and as his gift, I booked him, my Mum and nephews in at the Elangeni Hotel. In my request to the hotel, I asked them to make his experience special. I sent an email a few days before his arrival at the hotel.
My requests were, move them to a higher room, add a birthday card in the room... basically making his experience special.
To our dismay and upon arrival, nothing ever was done. Instead my Brother who transported my Parents to the hotel got attitude at the reception area, no willingness to help, My Parents got an absolutely terrible room (cramped).
When I asked my Dad if he found anything special in the room, he said there was nothing. My Mum eluded to say the room was cramped and it was not nice.
Only after I called did the Guest Manager (who herself tried cutting me off) said she would help... but her help was not on par as what I expect the Elangeni to provide.
Letitia, your team needs a jack up. After covid, I would expect the level of experience to improve. I want to know from you, how are you going to turn around this experience for me.
I have and still support Tsogo sun but after this experience, I don't think I'm going to bother.
