I am lodging this review to highlight a concerning and unresolved baggage claim issue with FlySafair. On 18 December 2025, I travelled on FlySafair flight FA560 from OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) to King Shaka International Airport (DUR). My checked baggage was handed over to FlySafair at departure and remained exclusively in the airline’s possession and control until arrival. Upon collecting my baggage in Durban, I discovered that the bag was damaged and that items were missing from inside the bag. The loss and damage therefore occurred while the baggage was under FlySafair’s custody. FlySafair has refused to consider my claim on the basis that optional travel insurance was not selected. This response is deeply concerning, as it fails to address the core issue: airline responsibility for checked baggage while in its possession. This is not an insurance claim. It is a claim arising from damage and loss that occurred while the baggage was under the airline’s care. Travel insurance is supplementary and does not replace an airline’s duty of care or liability for checked baggage. To date, FlySafair has not meaningfully engaged with: How the damage and loss occurred while the bag was in their custody Why baggage damage or theft under airline control is being denied outright Any investigation into the incident itself I am requesting that FlySafair: Acknowledge the facts of custody and control, and Assess the claim on airline liability grounds rather than deflecting to insurance. I am now escalating this matter formally and would welcome FlySafair’s intervention to resolve this fairly and transparently.
I am extremely disappointed with the service and lack of accountability from OR Tambo International Airports Lost and found department. I left my phone in my handbag during a recent departure, and my Find My iPhone app confirms that the phone is still located at the airport. I immediately contacted the airport and received one or two responses initially. However, as soon as I shared the exact contents of my bag, their communication completely stopped. I have followed up multiple times with no response. It's unacceptable and feels as though they are deliberately ignoring me to keep my belongings. As I am not in South Africa at the moment, I am reachable only via WhatsApp which I mentioned in my emails yet no contact or action has been taken. This kind of behavior reflects badly on the integrity and professionalism expected from an international airport. I demand that this is escalated immediately, and that someone from Lost and Found contacts me to return my bag, phone and wallet. My WhatsApp contact number is 066 236 1021
OR Tambo will not communicate with me regarding my lost bag which has my iPhone inside I am able to track my iPhone through the find my app and it is in fact located at the airport. All our attempts are falling on deaf ears because they are trying to ***** my phone, wallet and other personal belongings. I am not in South Africa at the moment so I will need to be contacted through WhatsApp on 066 236 1021.
I purchased a Skyworth 65inch TV from Makro Alberton and I have an extended warranty on it. On Saturday i reached out to 1 of the sales people and I was told that to log a call, I must call back on Monday which I have done. I told both the sales person and customer service person in store that I am leaving for an overseas trip on the 16th April. Please can someone from the store urgently call me to arrange for my TV to be sorted. I am going to be away for a month and want it fixed before I leave. Your turn around time is very slow and frustrating.
I went to buy a Nandos chicken meal for my Fiance and I today at Alberton New Market Square. This is a drive thru which has been recently renovated. The building has been renovated but your staff are not. My purchase was at 16.29pm. You have a lady taking orders at drive thru who can hardly greet and she is absolutely miserable. As I got to the 2nd window, there was a gentleman named Prince. I asked for the Manager and he said he was. Nandos I have been to this branch on numerous occasions at this particular branch service is really poor. Furthermore I get home only to find, that I asked for extra sauce and there is none. We are basically eating dry chicken. I need you guys to redeem my situation. This is not the first time we have complained. Other branches no issues, but this particular one needs a new set of people with a better attitude.
Please may an MTN Sales and retention person call me. Your call Centre line is really not a great experience.

For months now, I have been dealing with Standard Bank on one of my accounts. They constantly push me from legal firm to another. I want a senior person from Standard Bank revolving Facility to call me urgently.
Hi Nedbank, pls may I have someone from your home loans department contact me. I would like a reduction in the interest rate. Before calling me, pls do a check first and come back to me. The reason for writing on here is because it's difficult to get a response from your team.
