Based on recent customer reviews, ACSA receives overwhelmingly negative feedback across its major airports, particularly OR Tambo International. Customers consistently report confusing and exploitative parking systems resulting in excessive charges, luggage theft and damage with unresolved claims, and unprofessional or rude security staff. Bribery and extortion by airport personnel are alarming recurring themes. Infrastructure failures including broken escalators, non-functional air conditioning, and faulty parking boom gates further frustrate travellers. Passengers also highlight poor communication and extremely slow response times from customer care, with complaints going unanswered for weeks or months.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

Once again luggage was opened and searched (every zipped bag was opened, this was no quick job) at the OR Tambo Airport. What is worrisome is that the bag was locked with a code, so the baggage handler(s) have access to a TFSA key which will give them free access to locked luggage. Another good reason to avoid the OR Tambo airport as far as possible.

I recently arrived at OR Tambo airport and wanted to catch an Uber to my destination. I was directed to L2 where one can supposedly wait for your Uber. Probably about 100 people waiting for Ubers and huge traffic jams in Level 2. My Uber got in about 15 minutes late and then it took us 40 minutes to get out of the exit gates of the parkade. Shocking traffic congestion and that's on a Sunday afternoon at 6 pm. ACSA must sort this out because there are not enough exits from Level 2. Very bad planning and I wont be meeting my Uber driver on Level 2 next time. Shocking congestion and must be addressed asap.

In a rush anybody can do a mistake but to be punished for parking at the long term parking floor without even having seen the boards stating that that's a long term parking parkade and forced to pay R540 in spite of the explanation & ignorance of one expressed for a 20 minutes duration is unheard. They hide behind a man made unconstitutional policy saying no refund or discount will be given. In my ignorance I think that against the NCA & several other. Financial acts of South Africa as that amounts to raising money. I feel so ripped of when this ACSA company is run by people who can't take rational decisions as if they are robots with no right to exercise their minds even in simple explanations given by the consumers. It can't be that ACSA is regulated by its policy they didn't consult the public/users about & defy every law in South Africa. It's gangsterism at OR Thambo Int airport

I recently traveled to the Eastern Cape and I was not impressed by lack of ventilation at Chief Dawid stuurman international airport/ Port Elizabeth airport. The air-conditioning system is not working 😕. Airport management have resorted to using high velocity floor fans and wall mounted fans to cool the building. Shocking in an international airport 🛫 . Bad 👎

My suitcase was broken into again on my return flight from CPT to ORT on this last Friday 13 Feb (Flight FA 120). The suitcase was secured with cable ties. On opening the suitcase, I could see that my toiletry bag had been opened and tapered with but could not see that anything was missing. I am assuming that the ******* were looking for something of higher value like a fragrance, which I now take in my carry-on luggage, given the theft of this out of my check-in luggage late last year. It is appalling that this is such a regular occurrence and an invasion of my privacy. In this day of “high tech” surely there must be systems in place to monitor and prevent this from occurring!

The short stay (20 minutes) free parking is a nice idea. It gives you just enough time to perform a well timed pick-up or drop-off. I have used it often. It is not unusual to find the exits not working properly or taking very long. Today is not the first time that I have been timely and yet unable to get out for a long period. About five minutes today. The man on duty could see the excessive delay but insisted we should still pay, even though we had been in good time. The person behind the help button was equally adamant. This experience turns an otherwise pleasant experience into a bitter experience. I am sure there are many others who have been on the receiving end of this kind of bad service from ACSA. PS. ACSA should consider the courtesy of responding to their reviewers.

Closure of lower arrivals roadway at O.R. Tambo International Airport. It took me 4 emails to finally get a response from "customercare@airports.co.za" as to why road closed and when such will be reopened? Response was ACSA’s communications and local travel reporting indicate this closure remains “until further notice”. Thus there is yet again no accountability in SA and the company refuses to divulge when such "ongoing infrastructure upgrades ". Thus never mind inconvenience to all LAWFULL users of ORT, we must just wait until some unknown future date when such road closure may ro may not be re-opened. In the meanwhile you are diverted into the Parking Parkade 2 and I question how much more money this is now bringing into the parking company by FORCEING cars into the parkade? They say 30 minutes free but by the time you park and walk to the arrivals hall and walk back to your car most people will be over that 30 minutes so guess what the airport parking company makes more money. No wonder no timeline given for when such will be re-opened.

I'm very upset with the lack of understanding received from ACSA. I made a mistake and explained myself, but there's no mercy for me. On the 13th of January I visited the O.R Tambo airport. Not being a frequent visitor to the airport or the parkade ,I mistakenly parked in the long stay parkade. Please note I stayed for an hour and a half, seeing a loved on off at the airport. When I got to the ticket machine I saw my worst fears were confirmed,I parked in the incorrect parkade. Bear in mind the rush of vehicles going into the parkade,as well as the single board indicating which lane leads to which parkade. I had hoped that with only staying 1.5 hour I would pay like R100. My fee was R540,which I paid as I thought not to make a scene at the machine. Ive reached out to them and the response remains the same, they refuse to make a concession. They refuse to understand that a mistake was made....
