Don't trust them. Cut corners
<p>In November 2014 I paid them almost R30 000 to fix the wiring in my roof and to get my house to a compliant state. Everything that was done was based on their recommendations based on the assessments that they did because they are the experts. They cahrged<br />me to replace the old wiring in my roof which was R4500. A month ago someone got into my roof and they said that there is old wiring in my house which was there and is dangerous. I then phoned electroc to see what had happened and they said they will send someone to investigate I've been begging them for a month to please sort it out. They then came up with a story that it didn't need to be replaced. So I asked for my R4500 back but they are just full of stories and refuse to give the money back. Be careful when dealing with these people. They will never admit that they did something wrong but they are quick to take my money.</p>

After you contacted us in October 2016 regarding your concern we responded and explained the following
- According to the regulation as set out by the Department of Labour in SANS 10142 it clearly states that cleat wiring (this is the old cabling used in the earlier days) should only be replaced if it is found that it is worn or open.
- The quotation your received and subsequent work done was to replace only part of the properties cleat wiring and not the entire house. As it was you were not comfortable to pay for the work that had to be done. Adding on additional & unnecessary repair would have only infuriated you further
- We are also still waiting on the report you received from "someone" who got into your roof and gave you the news of unsafe wiring 3 years after the original repairs were done
- A team did go out and inspect the wiring that you insisted on replacing and it was once again found to be in a reasonable condition. You were not charged for this although the guarantee of the work was long expired
Our workmanship carries a 12 month guarantee, you have had no problems with the wiring of the property for 3 years.

31 Jan 2017, 08:27A typical response from electroc I'm not surprised. Nothing is their fault. I tried to resolve it amicably with the owner Wouter but then his arrogance kicked in again. He would not even come and meet me at my house to see what the situatiion is. No one is perfect and if the guys made a mistake and never replaced the cleat wiring like they were supposed to you could've just rectified the issue that your customer paid for. You weren't even prepared to meet me half way. Funny when I spoke to the guy who works for your company who did the inspection he said that none of the cleat wiring was replaced at all. This was also confirmed by the electrician who came to my house to replace the wiring in my house. I have the photo's to prove it. The geyser isolator was also not installed as quoted on. Photos will once again prove it. My DB board with your sticker on it was labled incorrectly. I did not go into my roof for 3 years and I'm not a qualified electrician either that is why I paid you. The major faults of the work that was supposedly done was pointed out by an honest hard working electrician. The cleal wiring literaly crumbled if you just touched it. There were many other issues with the wiring which your company was incapable of pointing out that needed to be fixed. Wouter has stolen some of my money and i'm extremely angry about it i tried to sort it out but he refused. Maybe he'll also get *****ed over and enjoy the feeling.
