They **** people into a franchise promise but never deliver the equipments promised, including cold room, camera, point of sale and billboards for a store name and advertising. They only put shelves and counter. All this they do after you Pay them R200000 upfront minimum.

Hi. I am concerned about the continued false adverti*****t by this company. They have ****med of R180000 pre payment under the promise to install cameras, point of sale, cold room, staff training, shelving and advertising boards as a franchise. Yet after I paid they only installed shelving and a cold room without compressor to make it cold. They tell me I have to buy stock worth of R200000 first, and yet their contract says for an express store I need R130000, which I have paid and sent them proof of purchase. They offer no support and I even spent time helping with my own liquor application while they say they also do it for you. I have spent rent of R25000 per month over 1 year because of delays with licensing. And still there’s no signage delivered as well, no point of sale. I have proof of contract and their approval as a franchise after I paid R180000. They refuse to help me or pay back my money. Im writing to help other unsuspecting victims who might be lured like me into believing that they will make lucrative money from this company.

I app**** for a franchise with Eliquor in January 2023. I paid the full franchise fees and we signed an agreement. In May I signed a lease agreement as this was a prerequisite for the liquor license application. 1. Liquor License : My application was submitted in August 2023 by their consultant called Maria (Monate Liquors). She delayed the whole process by not submitting the required documents on time. I had to follow up on my side and get another consultant to assist me while I had paid full franchise costs. The liquor license was only issued in October 2024 after waiting for months and incurring expenses out of own pocket. 2. Operational Expenses: I signed a lease agreement of which I was given a grace period of 3 months. After then I was required to pay rental of R18000 out of own pocket to date. This affected me negatively financially. As we speak my finance are in shambles as they were not honest from the beginning as to how long it will take for them to set-up my shop and for my license to be issued. Some of the money I spent on rent was meant to buy stock for the shop hence I required the agreement to be changed. 3. Agreement Change: I requested them to change my agreement from a franchise agreement to an Express store because my shop is 60m2 and I now wanted to use the difference for stock because at this point I do not qualify for any credit facility. All suppliers offered me a cash upfront account of which it was communicated to the franchisor. Instead of them trying work me to remedy the situation, Now are now ignoring me. Communication: I have called, texted, emailed the team, in some instances called them but my numbers were blocked,I have requested in person meeting to their manager Riaan but there is still no feedback. I suggested mid 2024 that we cancel the contract and they refund me but I was threatened by their Sales person that I would loose everything. The suggestion purely came from being financially frustrated by how the team conducted this whole process. 4. In Conclusion:To date my shop is partially set-up while their site indicates they fully setup your shop withing a couple of days of your license being issued. I am exhausted, I am frustrated what was meant to be a great business opportunity has turned into a nightmare. If there is anyone that can help me,please assist. All I want is for these people to remedy the situation, fully set up my shop, if they are not willing to change the contract they should communicate. I paid them in full, I do not owe them. They should support me as per our agreement.

I am reaching out to formally submit a complaint and request assistance in resolving a frustrating experience with the E-Liquor franchise application process. I believe that the level of service I have received has been inadequate, and I am seeking your intervention to help address my concerns. The process for this application began on 10 August 2023, when I submitted my initial inquiry via email, which was acknowledged on the same day. On 25 August 2023, I was assigned a sales consultant named Sibusiso Ntshangase to handle my application. After signing the agreement form, I paid a deposit on 26 September 2023, which was confirmed on 27 September 2023. Following this, I was provided with four potential sites for the franchise as outlined in subsequent correspondence. Unfortunately, none of the identified sites—located in Verulam, Pollock, Umlazi V Section, and Umlazi R Section—were able to secure a license. Umlazi V Section was specifically declined by the team due to an assessment indicating insufficient customer activity. This entire process has now extended over a period of 15 months, during which we have exhausted all viable locations for establishing a profitable site, without success. Despite numerous efforts to resolve these issues and communicate my frustrations, no meaningful progress has been made. I called a meeting with the team on 14 March 2024, during which I shared my concerns and was assured they would get back to me. However, no follow-up occurred. Since then, I have tried different avenues to address these issues, but no positive outcome has materialized. I was also informed that Sibusiso had been replaced due to lack of engagement, and was then assigned to Sibongiseni Dlamini, followed by Zama Magwaza. Yet, despite these changes in contacts, there has been no advancement toward a successful site or resolution. The Franchise Developer overseeing this process is Riaan. I had a clear plan and intention to invest in this business, but all I have experienced are delays and disappointments. I am therefore formally requesting reimbur*****t, as the ongoing efforts have not produced any of the promised results.
