Urgent Resolution Needed Regarding Lease Termination and Deposit

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding my lease agreement with your agency, which I signed in August 2024. In February 2025, I notified you that I would be moving out of the property in Potchefstroom due to an emergency. I was offered a job opportunity in Pretoria, which required me to relocate.

To my surprise, I am now being informed that I must pay two months' rent, even though I have already vacated the property. Additionally, I have been told that I will not be receiving my damage deposit back. This situation feels unfair, and I am deeply concerned.

Throughout my time at the property, I faced numerous issues that were never addressed, despite repeated requests for repairs. These included malfunctioning doors and a gate that required excessive effort to open, making it very difficult to enter or exit the property. The owner and agent assured me that these issues would be resolved, but they were never attended to.

I find it unacceptable that I am now being subjected to these additional charges and denied my deposit, especially given the ongoing maintenance problems I encountered. I have attempted to resolve this matter through your office, but I feel I have been given the runaround. As a result, I am considering reaching out to the Rental Tribe Union or the ombudsman for assistance in resolving this issue.

I kindly request that you take immediate action to rectify this situation and process the return of my deposit. I trust that you will do the right thing and resolve this matter promptly.
