Horrible customer service from Epsom seafood- Neil. I have no idea what’s his designation at Epsom seafood.
I called in today to complain about the L1 King prawns- buy 2, get 1 free.
I purchased the prawns on Saturday at around 3pm and put it straight into my freezer when I got home. We decided to grill the prawns today (Tuesday at 3:29pm) and we noticed that the prawns were horribly stale. The prawn meat was brown and it just didn’t taste right.
I called Epsom Seafood immediately and an extremely rude person by the name of Neil answered the phone. I explained the situation to him and told him that we are currently preparing the prawns and this is our findings. He then began to cross question me by asking me why I didn’t bring the prawns through on Sunday morning if I knew something was wrong. I had to explain to him in simple English that we are literally preparing the prawns now and didn’t prepare it on Sunday. He then went on to tell me that load shedding caused this. I told him that we don’t experience load shedding. He asked me where I stayed and personal questions which I didn’t appreciate making it seem like I was at fault.
He then had the nerve to further asked me what I intend on doing with the cooked prawns, do I want to continue cooking it or eating it?!!?!?!
Is this the way you treat customers if there’s a complaint? That is completely unprofessional and you really can’t put the blame on your customers if your seafood is not fresh.
I feel that this could have been handled in a better, professional manner.
If this is how they treat their customers then I certainly will never buy from them again!!!!!!!
