I moved into the 304onMain in June 2025, new building, beautiful but as we all know not everything is as they seems.
Firstly, it was not disclosed to me that the building used the ismrt for water and electricity, I only found out about it when I had already paid the deposit about to move into the place.
Excited to move to our apartment, on the 17th of June 2025 we moved to our new place, in the presence of our agent, we noticed that there's a leakage on the shower, before even putting our clothes or belongings, we immediately informed our agent in our presence and she immediately called the caretaker and he fixed the shower, the following day which will be the 18th we noticed that the door leaks as well, the caretaker then came to help with it.
As we continued to stay in the building we noticed that there's always wetness and outside our apartment just directly to our shower there's mould, I met with the manager and he informed that he and the management are aware of the leakage that is affecting our building, which I was not aware off, and that someone will come and paint 😀, well they did paint but it didn't fix anything.
I have a new born baby 5 months to be exact, he started developing rash, coughing and getting easily irritable, well the leakage, the wetness and mould still is there, now accompanied by funny noises when we switch on the lights and use the plugs.
I then informed my current that I want to terminate the lease as I noticed that the place is not in good condition but it is also affecting our health, Firstly there was a leakage that the management was aware but never informed us when moving in, and there also things that we informed them before moving in, now they are charging me 16500 for two months rental as well as approximately 7000 for commission pro rata,
They failing to take accountability of the role they played of not making the place habitable, I was informed that it is my duty to make sure that the apartment is mould free and they come to paint on top of the mould, instead they even told me which mould buster to use lol aai.
I informed that there's no enough ventilation because we only use window, well they had just advise us that if we want enough air circulation we should open the bathroom door and also make sure the window is opend, well the weather already is not favorable for this option as I mention that there's a new born baby.
As much I tried to reason with them theh failing to take the role they played, and they insist on me playing while they still making the place favorable. I need help how to solve this, I asked them with the mould will theh cover the invoice for my son's medical and theh refuse because of the mould and they still refuse. I have however all pictures and anyone will to help please assist
