dodgy email for and interview
I have relied this email and it seemed dodgy. Please advise Dear Candidate Global Staffing and Training Consultants is pleased to formally invite you for a pre interview/ pre-assessment meeting at 21 Village Rd and Simmonds Str, Johannesburg, 2001 (Opposite the Standard Bank Parking Bay @ Simmonds Street Johannesburg). This means that your CV was successfully assessed and shortlisted for the Video Producer and Editor Position that you applied for and we are therefore pleased to formally extend an offer for the above position. Your appointment date is on Friday 16 October 2020 at 08:00am. The list of roles and responsibilities will be explained only after we get positive results of the pre interview/ pre-assessment, as well as all the applicable benefits; for example provident fund, full medical aid,13th cheque etc. Kindly note that this is not an interview or assessment as yet but rather a pre interview/ pre-assessment meant for receiving your checks so we can validate them. The validation process takes about a week. REQUIREMENTS: 1.Kindly make sure you come wearing a mask as no one will be permitted to enter the premises without it. Our services will be slower than usual as precautionary measures will have to be undertaken against Covid19. 2. Please bring along copy of your ID/Passport and the original and email your CV and academic certificates ( copies) with the below listed documents: ITC Report Document (Consumer Credit Report) and a Valid Background Clearance Certificate e.g. police clearance (must not be older than 3 months and must be from a registered firm around South Africa only).Kindly email a soft copy of your CV prior to coming. 3. Conversely if you do not have these documents; or have only one document, we can, with your consent, assist by running checks on your behalf through an outsourced service, Of which you will be liable to pay a full amount of R260.00 cash only, no debit or credit cards will be accepted (as these lead to additional charges for the business). The R260.00 will be receipted by us(on behalf of our outsourced service provider) and proof of payment will be emailed to you. Please note that we only facilitate this function as it is provided by an outsourced service provider therefore this payment is for their services; meaning it is not payment for a job. The ENCP says it's a recruiting agency but only to find out it's a scam the following email I have received regarding a job and wanted me to do a back ground check and screening which cost R320 It's not a lot of money but to think about the amount of people that fall prey daily to these low lives. They use people and their unemployment as a weakness and make them easy targets, this is unacceptable. Who do we even trust anymore, what is legit and what is not? This full time position is available within a successful logistics company which is allowed to operate during the level 2 lockdown and you will receive a monthly salary of R13500 plus benefits and bonuses. This company is a scam. They are asking people to pay R320 for background checks for jobs that do not exist. The fake background checks companies are West Pole, Smith Corps, Instant Checks, Absolute Checks, Inter Checks. There could be more. I have attached my fake email to this. Please be careful. We apologize for the delay as we were still waiting on the results of your background checks as well as confirmation from your employers. We recently received results of your full background checks and screening on your profile, everything is in order and we're happy to have you as an employee. We now need to setup your appointment letter as soon as possible. Appointment letter will include the exact starting date, full information about your employers, your benefits, etc... Please note that the appointment letter is to be prepared by CG Direct Services at a fee of R180 and according to our company policy, this fee has to be covered by you (The applicant).
