BAD AND RUDE SERVICE
Fourie nel attorneys we appointed by standard bank to do my transfer as i bought a house through the bank. The process started on May 12 2021.i paid them all the money in mid June. And when i contacted the to get an update i was told by Sina Apane that process will be finalized mid August. This after there was no communication from them to me unless i asked something. Today i went to their offices and i will never forget the experience. There is a lady called Maryke de Vet. She was rude shouting at me from the corridor telling me the delay was with the council and she does not work for the council so i should see what i do. I told her i have no place to stay as i have to vacate the room am renting by Saturday 31.07.2021. She asked what do i want her to do with that. All this time she is shouting and we are in the reception arrea. I am so disappointed in the way they treated me. When i went there to sign they were so welcoming and promising. But now that i paid them am treated like nothing. When i told her i will take this matter further she said i should do so. Maryke de Vet is rude and don't care about anyone. The sad thing is now they have taken my joy of at last owning my own house and threw it in the drain. Am so saddened by the experience and i feel cancelling the whole process couse all it has brought ti me is pain, stress and sadness.

03 Aug 2021, 08:22Dear Sir, as discussed with you on the day, the Council only sent the rates figures on the 26TH of July 2021, and thus is the reason we could only provide Standard Bank with the said figures as that was the time we received same. The delays were not with Standard Bank or our offices as previously explained, the delays were caused by absent water meter readings for the seller. The issues had to be resolved first by the Council before any figures could have been released. Every Monday morning a transfer report is sent to you automatically advising you on any progress or delays on your matter. Kindly refer to these updates as the delays regarding the water readings were stated clearly. Payment of the rates clearance figures from Standard Bank has been received and we made payment to the council to obtain our rates clearance certificate. On date of signature we did not guarantee the transfer to pass in 4 weeks. We explained on previous occasions if we do provide you with a possible time frame it is always subject to change as we deal with different departments (COUNCILS, DEEDS OFFICE AND SARS) outside of our control.
