Terrible service and they don't take accountability for their mistakes. Should be 0 stars not 1
I opened an account with Fever Tree Finance to finance a purchase through We Are Gamers. During the application process, I made a mistake with the amount and immediately contacted them. Over the phone, I changed the amount I was applying for and explicitly asked for confirmation multiple times that the monthly installment and all policies were correct. I was clearly told yes, the installment would be R694, and that this was the confirmed amount.
Because I have had debit order issues in the past, I contacted them as a precaution to ask for banking details in case I needed to pay manually. That is when I was suddenly told that the installment amount was different and higher, despite never being informed of any change.
Every single piece of communication and documentation I received from Fever Tree Finance — including emails and debit order mandates sent between the 21st and the 26th — clearly stated an installment of R694. If the amount changed on the 21st, then why was I still being sent documentation for days afterward showing the old amount? At no point was I notified that the installment had changed, nor was I sent any corrected or updated documentation.
When I called to query this discrepancy, instead of assistance or accountability, I was met with rude and dismissive behavior. I was told I “should read what I sign,” with strong implications that the mistake was mine — despite the fact that I re**** on the written documentation they sent me and verbal confirmations from their agents.
This situation was caused by poor communication and a lack of transparency, yet I was treated as if I were at fault. I am now locked into a 24-month agreement based on information that was inconsistently communicated.
I am very unhappy with both the service and the way this matter was handled. Once these 24 months are over, I will not deal with Fever Tree Finance again, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
I made the mistake of falling into this ****, please read the reviews AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS ****MING COMPANY

Please note the mandate you are referring to is the one before you requested the facility to be increased, an increased facility will result in an increased installment. The mandate stipulates that this installment is calculated based on the facility utilized. This means that charges are still to be added to this balance and will then only be included on the installment.
As the account is revolving credit we are not able to confirm charges before hand and an exact debit order amount on a monthly basis as these are all determined by the balance, number of days in the cycle, prime interest rate and other factors.
With regards to the manner in which you advised you were assisted we will be going through all calls in which you requested assistance and were advised about how the account works and where required deal with agents accordingly.

02 Feb 2026, 15:09Thank you, I am aware of that, and as I clearly stated in the message, on the call I was on when I was making the change I asked your agent several times to confirm to me if this is the new installment amount. I was assured it was. Here you go again trying to pretend I am stupid. I have read several reviews of you all now, I should have done that before I started, and several have the same problem with either your customer service and your agents treating people like lying ********s or idiots. I have also read several labeling you all as a ****, and I agree.
Instead of apologizing and taking accountability, you fight back with your clients and try to make us look stupid by saying stuff like "You need to read the stuff before you sign it" Yeah, like I didn't do that and ask on the call I was on. You run this company abysmally and I will stand by what I have said. You are money hungry capitalists who cheat people out of their money...if only there was a term for that, oh wait there is, a ****.
You can personally ask Lauren (one of your snarky consultants who kept saying these things to me) why she thinks its okay to talk down to people. I have been hung up several times by your call center and no one apologized ONCE to me. I only got one person saying sorry about the whole situation out of the 8 times I was on the phone wit you all.
