I recently had my Jeep Grand Cherokee at the FIAT CHRYSLER SANDTON to replace a serpentine/drive belt as it was damaged during the oil servicing by FIAT CHRYSLER SANDTON, and they still charged me for the belt. However, after the belt was replaced i drove for 1 week to my surprise my vehicle started overheating, electronics went confused and i saw smoke coming from the bonnet. The vehicle basically shutdown with my two daughters still in the vehicle on a highway for that matter. When i opened the bonnet i saw that the serpentine/drive belt snapped and was severely damaged, I then had to tow the vehicle back to my home and the next day tow it to the dealership at my own cost. The dealership told me that it was due to a water pump (how is this possible? How does a water pump damage the belt and why was it not checked when the oil service and belt was replaced???), the dealership then denied liability and refused to take responsibility for this, now i am sitting with this problem and need to cough up the money to repair this, and it will be expensive since the engine also overheated.
Please everyone, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO FIAT CHRYSLER SANDTON!!!!!!!!!
