BILL WAS SEVEN THOUSAND AND SOMETHING. Took my car to finn auto on the 15/12/255, 17/12/25 got it back on the 19/12/25 they were closed for holidays on the 05/01/26 called was supposed to take it back but had a problem. Now my car did the very samething it experienced in dec. Now they say its the wire the QUESTION ION IS QHY DID TEHY NOT PICK UP THEN AND CHARGE ME FOE EVERYTHING THEN. THEY ARE TELL ME ALL SORT OF STORIES. I WILL NEVER NEVER TAKE MY CAR THERE AGAIN. THEY ARE ****** SHAME. WHY THEY DID NOT PICK UP THE WIRING THING THEN?

Finn auto is a joke! I took my car in on Tuesday and called them the following day on Wednesday to see if they've submitted to the claim to insurance, they hadn't even called them! Then they email me to say that the mechanic is sick and the quote could take a week, I waited the week (which in hindsight I clearly shouldn't have) and then I call again and they STILL hadn't touched my car. Now they told me they will strip my car the next day, and that after stripping they have to send the parts to the engineers and only then can they get me a quote, which could take at least another day for stippping and 2 days for the engineers! I said no thank you, I'll take my car somewhere else, so they charged me R650 for diagnostics, that told me things I already knew about the car, things I told them when I was booking the car for repairs! These are the same people that couldn't find a problem with my car when it was making a funny noise a couple of months ago and the mechanic literally said to me "maybe you were hearing someone else's car" ... so they think I can't tell the difference between my car and another car? They are unorganized, understaffed, condescending and terrible communicators. My car could have been sitting there for a month if I let them continue! They may have an RMI certificate but they don't know how to deal with people, NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Finn Auto Diagnostics literally disabled and destroyed a fully functional vehicle with unauthorised activity, open the ECU, one of the most expensive component was opened and interfered with and subsequently changed for a second hand one as they could not get the vehicle to start after a simple cambelt change.

So our car went in for a simple service oil etc… a day later our car is having issues that we never had before like not able to start couldn’t go into gear and the list goes on … we had to return the car to them and they have it ever since saying that firstly that it was a loose wire and then it was not but something else etc always an excuse … the customer service is pathetic as I always have to call or my wife to find out the status of car … we constantly needed to request the quote for fixing but they always delay and don’t provide… we just received a call to say that it would be R70k to have it fixed and now i am lost as they still have my car

Al that I have to say is that Finn Auto will never see me again. Had to take my vehicle to another dealer to fix the problem they caused. They are greedy to take my money but give my vehicle back with other problems caused by their so called mechanic. Think twice before you make use of their very unprofessional service.

I took my car in thinking that my gas cylinder needed to be filled for my aircon (well aware that I don't know much about cars). They told me clearly that if there was anything else wrong with the aircon besides the gas they would phone and discuss it with me prior. I took my car in at 07:30 (it was booked) and by 16:30 I went to find out what was happening, they reported that they think that it might be another part of the aircon, however they were waiting for the part to arrive to test if that was truly the problem. I agreed to leave my car overnight and would fetch it in the morning. During this time I received absolutely no communication except for the 2 times me and my husband followed up. In the morning I got an invoice with an amount nearly triple the amount they initially said it would potentially cost the previous morning (but clearly stated they would call me if there was any change). No phone call, nothing. Just a bill with a large amount of money for work that was already done to my car without checking with me first. When I queried why I wasn't phoned first - "Sorry, we got really busy." Totally unacceptable - I echo all the reviews that say poor service and terrible communication.

Avoid Finn Auto at all cost. They are dishonest and have blatantly **** to me in writing about the progress of my vehicle. They kept my vehicle for over a week, pretending to be working on it when they weren't working on my car at all. I had my vehicle removed and took it to another service provider who fixed it immediately and gave me awesome service. Finn Auto wants your money so they'll check your vehicle in when they have no intention of working on it. You will be stuck without a vehicle until 'one day' when they decide to tend to it, leaving you carless. If they can lie about working on your vehicle, they will also lie about what they are doing to it. Steer clear. My case is currently with the Ombudsman.

Unprofessional- worst experience We took our car to Finn motors in Walmer , Port Elizabeth for some diagnostics. The car was there for several weeks as we wanted it to be checked throughly and have all issues we mentioned sorted out . After much time and many calls to and fro they quoted us on work to be done and we gave the go ahead . We collected the car and drove it after about 5 days only to find the car is making a new rattling sound from the engine which was not there previously . We returned the car and were told this is a new problem that occurred in 5 days and that they would need to quote us again on labour and more parts . They also seems to mention very often that the manager is unavailable and refuse to give out the owners details , this seems to be a money making scam where people are forced to return to them after paying for work supposedly done . They don’t respond to any hello Peter disgruntled clients nor do they call you back or allow you to speak to anyone seniors in management . Please be warned to not use these scammers …
