Beware of Fins N Tails in Winkelspruit, KZN. We purchased a fish tank via a telecon from Johannesburg for my daughter who lives in KZN's birthday. We were unsure of what fish we were going to buy and were told to take a heater if we were going to take Neon's (we had not purchased the fish and were intending on coming back for the fish in a week, after setting up the tank). We took the heater and then decided once we were at home that we would rather not take fish that required warm water. I called the store to explain that we were not going to need the heater and asked if I could return it. I was told to send a WhatsApp regarding the matter and then received a phone call that it was not policy to take back electrical equipment like heaters once it had left the store - NO-ONE told us this when we purchased the heater - this was only mentioned to us when we asked to return it ****erally a few hours after purchasing it and it has not even been opened).
It irks me to no end when people are happy to sell you **** you don't need and then have the gall to tell you that they do not take the items back - when they DID NOT mention this to you at the point of sale.
The wheel turns Fins N Tails..... your staff are in desperate need of a little "sensitivity training" and customer experience training would not be lost on those at your store either.
Perhaps a little more time spent on sales etiquette, customer information services, and honest, transparent sales methods would put you back on a favourable page with your consumers that have been left feeling "**********".
