Don’t ever use First Plumbing and Electrical
I appointed First Plumbing and Electrical via a recommendation from Kandua to install an inverter with gel batteries. The inverter never worked and after repeatedly trying to contact Jade Smith and all his numbers, he just did not respond. I had an independent electrician review the job and only to be advised that he compromised my DB board and the batteries were not fit for purpose. I have tried everything to try and resolve and even sent legal letters etc. he does not even respond to my lawyer. I have had to pay extra funds to rectify the DB.

Poor service First Plumbing and Electrical
Poor service! I get charged R3000 for a earth leakage switch replacement and my circuit board is completely rewired. Now my inverter is not working but they will not come out to fix this. Hunky dory if you have no electricity and they will come out asap but when they have to come and fix faulty wiring which they changed, no answer.

Poor service First Plumbing and Electrical
Poor service! I get charged R3000 for a earth leakage switch replacement and my circuit board is completely rewired. Now my inverter is not working but they will not come out to fix this. Terrible, conmen and ****-poor service
I'm going to name them because people need to take notice Quinton - the plumber Jade Smith - the manager Had a burst geyser and called these guys. Got the call back almost immediately at around 2pm and Quinton told me he was on his way from the Sandton area to Greenside. no sign of him at 3pm, called - yes, he's on his way. nothing at 4pm - yes, traffic is bad! Then at 5pm he is close by but has gone to the shops. He is dropping his "boys" off. Finally at 5.30 he arrived and said he would be back at 8am next morning to do the job. Arrived at 10am the next morning after numerous calls - telling the lie that there was a bus strike and he was battling to get his "boys". Determined also that a pressure regulating valve should be replaced. Did the job but had only one assistant and i ended up assisting in removing the geyser from the ceiling!! Cleaning up was ****-poor - no real effort. Water was switched off to the whole property but unknown to me was not switched back on to the helpers quarters. Quinton asked that we pay into a private account, which was done. On reflection i thought this was odd so called the office and Jade Smith told me this was irregular. Basically Quinton was defrauding the company. Jade said he would send another person to switch back on the water and replace the valve. Multiple calls to Jade on both the 24hr number and office line went unanswered. Multiple SMSes unanswered. He never sent out another plumber Left with no choice i called another company Peter's Plumbers. An absolute gentleman - arrived promptly, sorted out the water and told me the valve was 100% and did not need to be replaced!!! First Plumbing & Electrical - crooks and useless. My gut feel is Quinton and Jade in cahoots to defraud the company Never use these guys.

Dishonest and unresponsive
Three of their plumbers and electricians came on an after hours call out to my house to repair my geyser and I was charged over R11,000, which had to be paid before they left the premises. 5 days later I discovered that they had lied about the repairs and had only just turned on a switch. They had not replaced the heating element that I was charged for, and it seems that the “burnt out” element that I was shown as proof that it needed replacing, was never from my geyser. All the repair that I was charged for, in fact not done. I was completely defrauded. Calls and emails to the company complaining about the falsified work on the invoice have gone unanswered for several weeks now. I have been unable to recover my money, and they have accepted no responsibility for the dishonesty of their employees. I will never use them ever again, and I strongly urge others not to either.

Bunch of Thugs
What a horrible service! 3 men arrive 3 hours late. When making the booking, I was told the cost of inspection is R285. These guys then proceed to charge us R650. We tell them we will not pay this amount as it was not agreed upon. The owner then proceeds to phone us, harass us and even threaten us! He calls us cowards and threatens to come to our house to hit us. What a bunch of thugs. Please avoid them! They are also under the plumbers Gauteng website

Never use this plumbing service!
A week ago I need a 24-hour plumber in JHB. I googled and Plumbing 247 came up. I called them and they agreed to send someone out. Their plumber was asked to fix a leaky tap...a small job (in addition to a bigger job). They charged R600 for just this small job but didn't actually fix the problem. I asked them to come back, especially as there is a warranty. Their plumber agreed to come back but then the business owner called today and said they would charge to come out again. I said that I didn't think they should charge since they didn't do the job properly in the first place. He then said that if I wanted a proper plumber I should call Drain Surgeon and that if I wasn't such a cheap person, I would have paid for a proper service. I'm not sure that he realised that he was basically telling me that he's a cheap and incapable? He was incredibly rude and possibly a bit crazy. Will never use this service again. Suggest that no-one else.
