I have been attempting to apply for a Single Facility with RMB Private Bank for over three weeks. I received two automated reference numbers (BUHU7KTR and APELR1BH) with promises that someone would contact me within 2 working days. No one ever did. I followed up multiple times by phone and email. On one call, the consultant focused only on my secondary FNB Easy account (which I keep for PayPal) and completely ignored the fact that my main income and banking are with Capitec. It is clear I am being incorrectly profiled by an automated system. I sent a formal service complaint on January 10th to multiple RMB email addresses. To date, I have received zero acknowledgment — not even a "we are looking into it" response. I am a former Single Facility client who wants to return to RMB, but the current service is making that impossible. If this is how prospective clients are treated, I can only imagine how existing clients are handled when there is a problem. I have now escalated to the Executive Office. If I do not receive a response by end of business Monday, I will be moving my application to Investec or Nedbank and lodging a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman. There must be no debit order on the 15th who told you I get paid on the 15th leave the debit order as it is dont mess up my account Leave my debit order as it is dont change them i dont hv any preference from my employer payment will be on the 25th leave my debit order as it is 7407275642080

On 29th of October I woke up and my account was frozen. I made a follow up with FNB and they said my account was being investigated my Bervely Nukeri. They gave me her office number and they arennot going through. There had been no communication whatsoever as to my account is being investigated. I can't even buy food to feed myself and the little one I'm expecting. All I wanna say is that I'm disappointed by the level of unprofessional both First Rand and Bervely Nukeri. Normally I would vow and swear by FNB and First Rand clearly I was wrong. The worse part I'm also a student I don't have money for transport because my account is locked up for no reason. Keep I'm mind I'm mid my exam period.

I contacted (30Sept'25) Firstrand RMB Private bank Sandton per advertised telephone number multiple times, no answer. I then tried the Menlyn branch. They answered. I wanted to verify an account number as part of my due diligence process as I had to pay a hefty sum (equal to a month's salary) to a company that holds an account with RMB Private Bank. The lady on the other end of the line was not prepared to help me cited privacy rules. In this day and age where emails are intercepted to change banking details, especially where big amounts are concerned, I would have expected a better service from a "Private Bank". It is further questionable that ABSA, a big bank, does not facilitate payments to RMB Private Bank nor feature their branch code. This little oversight made me even more nervous.

I sent an email to investor.relations@firstrand on 07/07/2025 To date I have not received any acknowledgment or any sort The reception at First Rand is not helpful , first of all its very unprofessional, its loud etc. They cannot take messages & request anyone to call back - its the first I have heard of this I was referred to FirstRand regarding a query but if I cannot get any any response. whats the point
