I am currently a patient at the Fisha Wellness. The day staff is managing the daily activities right maybe because management is present I am not sure, the unfortunate part or trauma is at night or early mornings. The night duty staff can not control the patients especially males. We are females that doesn't smoke but there is tables and chairs behind female windows that most of male sits and smoking cigarettes and the whole smoke gets inside the rooms , at night the whole passage smell cigarettes. I can't talk about the noise unbelievable, the staff can't keep order at the male section some they even play pool or snooker with the patients. We are given medications at 9 pm and the policy says sleeping time should be 10pm but here it looks like the sun just rises. The male patients just run around on the passage of the female wards without anyone seeing anything wrong or simpathicing with other patients. We are admitted here to get help, healing , rest, gain back our sleep , strength and be rehabilitate. Not to be depressed more by this environment that can not be managed correctly, we know that nights are ment to sleep and rest but we find it difficult in this institutions because there is no order, patients just do as they please. How can a mental patients sits and play music or have fun until after 11 pm ? Are these patients truly on sedative medication because they are disturbing and disrespecting other patients. I believe management must review their policies and procedures, because currently nights shifts stuff is a mess they don't have order.
