Disappointing service
I finally received the balance of my order, but I am rather disappointed by the entire experience as one item is still missing. I ordered 24 meals and 12 drinks. I received 23 meals and 12 drinks. Not only is there a meal short, the meals delivered today were incorrect. I was expecting to receive the balance of the chicken stuffed with spinach (x1) and chicken and leek casserole (x 2). Instead I received x2 chicken stuffed with spinach. No chicken and leek casserole. This is rather disappointing and most probably my 1st and last time ordering from FitChef👎

Disappointing service

Non-Refund & Unprofessional Conduct – Avoid Thyme Fit Chef
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Thyme Fit Chef. I am still owed a refund of R4,748.99 for a meal kit (14day challenge – Luxury - Paid on 22May’25) that I ordered twice and, on both occasions, meals had been swapped out and juices missing – besides the 1st kit having arrived thawed out and late. Despite sending numerous emails and follow-ups, I have received no response and no resolution to my last 3 email attempts. Whilst I acknowledge that a replacement order was sent and that steps were being taken to correct the issue going forward, these actions did not resolve the core problem: I did not receive the product I initially paid for, as advertised and promised – TWICE! Simone & Brian tried to justify their attempts to shift responsibility away from their company and onto me. They appreciated my feedback which they admitted helped uncover and address a system error that impacted the alignment between my meal plan and the packing process – TWICE. However, after thorough internal review, their team decided not to proceed with a refund. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for a straightforward matter is completely unacceptable. I was more than patient, but being ignored repeatedly has left me with no choice but to lodge formal complaints with the National Consumer Commission and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when dealing with this company. Based on my experience, they do not uphold basic standards of customer service or ethical business practice.

I have tried quite a few meal providers with smaller, healthier meals and with Thyme Fitchef they didn’t compromise on taste to achieve healthy meals
I have tried quite a few meal providers with smaller, healthier meals and with Thyme Fitchef they didn’t compromise on taste to achieve healthy meals. Other meals taste very bland in comparison. Some meals can be a bit oily with the cheese on top, but I generally just take the cheese off then it’s much better. Really helps me eat healthy without the need to cook.

I have tried quite a few meal providers with smaller, healthier meals and with Thyme Fitchef they didn’t compromise on taste to achieve healthy meals. Other meals taste very bland in comparison. Some meals can be a bit oily with the cheese on top, but I generally just take the cheese off then it’s much better. Really helps me eat healthy without the need to cook.

I have been with them for 2 years and the food has been amazing and healthy. Now with new smaller options, new menus which I love. What's more is the flexibility in that, I don't eat red meat including pork, they accommodate substitution. The food, no doubt healthy and I have lost and maintained weight level because of them. I'd rather spend more on eating healthy and extending my longevity than indulging in junk food disguised as healthy, let alone reducing quality of life with pains, inflammation & complications. The more I partner and invest with them, the more my wealth increases because my health is just that: My Wealth. This website is better responsive and adaptive. To Charlotte and the Team, your proactiveness, keeping me in the loop from when the order is placed to delivery is prompt. Keep up the good work!

No need to manage pantry stock. Negatives It’s pricey, but reasonable for a single person considering the convenience. Cooking at home would provide roughly three times the food, but it wouldn’t be as flavourful. Additional Notes Their cooling delivery truck keeps food well-preserved. Their website mentions that your taste buds need time to adjust—this is true. Expect cravings at first, but after two weeks, you’ll appreciate the flavours and benefits.

Fitchef - A Game Changer
I’m genuinely impressed with the quality of the food, smoothies, and most importantly, the communication and service. My wife and I both have busy schedules, and being able to quickly heat up a healthy and genuinely tasty meal has been a game changer. We’ve completely switched out all our dinners with Fitchef meals, and it’s not only helped us lose weight, but also saved us from the usual struggle of deciding who’s cooking tonight! - way less arguments lol I can’t recommend them enough. We’ve also been surprised with the extra meals and smoothies we’ve received with both our orders – a thoughtful touch that really sets them apart. If you're looking for an affordable, healthy, and convenient ready-made meal option, Fitchef is definitely the way to go!
