I am in utter disbelief and would like to express my deep dissatisfaction not only with the appalling service experienced by my children at Food*****s market Harvest place but also with the incredibly bad quality of food they were sold This afternoon on 28/02/2026 I sent my 2 teenage children to purchase, amongst other things, Brisket from the butchery. They came back home extremely hurt because of the terrible attitude the butcher lady had when she was serving them. She complained throughout when she was serving them because she didn't like the fact that they were buying multiple packets of meat making them feel small. She was not only rude, but she proceeded to only select fat with barely any meat as she was visibly annoyed I am under the impression that the core of her role is serving customers but it seems this is not the case. I would like to request that management urgently arranges to take this meat back and replaces it because I cannot accept this. I expected a lot better from such a well established franchise

ordered 2 Gyros 1 x Chicken and 1 x Lamb. Got the lamb 10 min before the Chicken. it was r as I could jot wait for more tzatziki. The chicken is double the size as the lamb was like a mini. Poor customer before us ordered 2 x Chicken and waited 30 min for his. He got 1 and had to wait for his second as the lady had to first make our lamb and then his second chicken . Absolute chaos behind the station. Trolleys and people working. Also doing a stick take . This has become a disaster Food *****s.

I’m a big supporter of Food *****s Harvest Place because of the proximity between work and home. On the 25th February 2025 they had their famous R50 special, I went to their store on that day to buy groceries that included cleaning products, fruits and take-away for dinner and a 6-pack “long life” full cream milk with an expiration date of 30/06/2025. Unfortunately, when we opened the first carton of milk it was off and it created white thick cream when poured in coffee and it smelled sour. The 3 mangoes looked fresh from the outside, when we cut them they had black colour and tasted horrible, the bananas had a white mould on the tips and had a funny taste. Normally when Food *****s have these specials their products still looks and tastes fresh, which is the reason I like shopping from them. This time around, I was disappointed. I tried to call their 010 from their website but it doesn’t go through. I’d like them to refund the R89,99 for the milk, R50 for the mangoes and R50 for 3 packs of rotten bananas. We have a 3-year old and we can’t gamble with giving him food stuff that might put his life in danger as we’ve seen from recent news on TV. I’d like Food *****s Harvest Place to do the right thing.

Bad experience, selling rotten food - we bought a milk tart two weeks ago, and it looked as if there was hair growing on it....yesterday we bought snoek, got home to and when we want to braai it, the smell took us out, it was rotten. I think it is horrific!!!!!

It is Sunday after church, tue service was awesome. Our Pastor was preaching about Discouragement that we need not to be discouraged, we left the church in high spirit and there we go for a quick snack. Guess what? Big disappointment and discouragement, we get to this outlet and to be approached by an appalling service. The waiter drops the menu and disappears, we had to ask for another waiter to come take our drinks order atleast. She comes with a long face, as if this was not enough they bring the wrong drinks order. What is happening with customer service lately ?

I went to Food *****s at Harvest Place Shopping Centre after work the other day. I was exhausted and started feeling sick and struggling to breathe, with my chest closing. The lady at the till was empathetic towards me and offered to call an ambulance and asked how she could help. I told her that I didn’t live far from the centre and I’ll manage. It was great to see that she went beyond her call of service and tried to help, and that they cared about their customers’ goodwill. I truly appreciate it.
