After last night's experience at Frankie's diner I am truly outraged.
My friends and I went for a meal and halfway through , one of my friends found a piece of plastic in his burger (10 cm in length). We called the manager in charge for the night, who offered no solution to the problem and was almost too nonchalant to even care that a near death experience had been avoided in his establishment.
The moment was so shocking that all of stopped eating and refused to touch anything on our plates, all we wanted to do was leave. We can understand an accident like finding a hair in your food, but a piece of plastic that was cooked and hardened and then left on the burger by the chef, which was then served to a customer was appalling. And that level of negligence can honestly not be overlooked.
After explaining the full scope of what almost happened to the stand in manager, he then walked away and sent the waitress, to give us the bill?!
Not taking any previous information into account, he stood in the background sheepishly and expected us to pay the full bill after what had just happened.
Keep in mind two days earlier we had ordered Frankie's and got a take away; I ordered the Rib basket which only had 4 RIBS in it! SO I PAID R140 FOR FOUR RIBS?!?! The rest of the take away meals ordered by my friends didn't look fit for a dog. The chicken wings ordered by my friend was spongy and the fries had the same consistency as spaghetti!!
Now I am in conversation with the Head Manger telling him all of this and he doesn't give a damn. The experiences of his customers clearly do not concern him, and I refuse to give them anymore money because clearly the problem hasn't been dealt with.
What establishment let's their chef smoke a cigarette at the front door?!?! That's the man that's meant to be touching my food!!
When I saw it I thought, like any rational person I thought; "he'll smoke and wash his hands thoroughly." WAS I WRONG!
We ate their last night and today I have food poisoning so thanks Frankie's.
This post is meant to be informative for anyone looking to visit Frankie's in the future, but I beg of you; PLEASE DON'T.
You have just lost a customer...not like you care anyway.
