07 Aug 2025, 13:01Yesterday, 6 August 2025, I bought two C***** double cream plain yoghurts 150g at Fresh Stop, Cnr Sunvalley Road, Stellendale Ave, & Sunvalley Rd, Highbury/ Kuilsriver. As per the picture displayed in front of the fridge, the yoghurts are advertised on special, 2 C***** double cream plain yoghurts 150g for R27, with a picture of a strawberry and choc chip flavored yoghurts on. There is also a sentence that reads, "C***** yoghurt 150g assorted". Now to me it means any of the flavored C***** yoghurts in the size 150g, you buy any 2 for R27. No flavors excluded.
After paying for my goods, I checked my slip (attached) and noticed that the discount did not go off and asked the cashier about it. He was not aware of this, and we both went back to the fridge where the specials are advertised. The cashier looked a bit confused, and I asked him if we could get a supervisor or manager. A lady was on her way to the back, I assume so, the cashier stopped her to ask. She said that only those 2 yogurt flavors displayed in the picture are special, not all of the flavors in the fridge. I asked them, but what does the word "Assorted "mean because to me it means any of the flavored C***** yoghurt in the size 150g. The lady again told me that it is only those 2 flavors. She also said, they don't print those adverti*****ts and that I should go ask the head office, with a not so friendly attitude.
I went home without my R7 discount.
So now, my humble request is, could you please explain to me what the word "Assorted" means in your discounts/special adverts. because to me it does not make sense.
