Booking accommodation. Firstly, your website is not as friendly as you think. I booked accommodation on your web site. Was asked twice to CONFIRM my booking. Received email with reference number. My experience in the years dealing with you when you say I confirm you must take it or else I will have to pay a cancellation fee. Two days later I received an email that state “Please pay particular notice to any information provided under "Special Notes", and/or change in directions, as these may have been updated by the resort since your last confirmation.” This email also confirmed my booking again! Attached document is showing my points I used for the booking and the Balance. I did not respond to this as it was correct. Why would I worry about anything since I CONFIRMED my booking the day I booked! On Friday I arrived at my holiday location to be informed my booking was cancelled and I’m not the only person that had this experience. I planned all my weekends activities according to my booking. Paying for day visitor admission for Kruger National park, which is linked to a specific gate. In this case the one closest to my accommodation. Funseekers then offered me accommodation 150-200km away from all my other bookings and then then it will cost me the same or even more for the accommodation. I could not accept this because it was already late, and I would arrive after 10pm. We are in a COVID period and restriction does not permit traveling after 10pm. I’m 74 years old. South African roads are not in best conditions and all the attacks four woman on the road. This was also far away from my Kruger Park reservations. The resort should have been able to accommodate us since the covid regulations stipulate you are not allowed to book more than 50% capacity.
I had to pay for a new reservation at a different resort which was not in my budget. Then I phoned Tuesday (01/09/2020) the phone call was cut short by the Funseeker consultant Chantelle did and she did not even return my call. I called back but same consultant was not available anymore. How is this good service?
