I bought Isuzu KB 300LX LWBS/C 2005 Model on 2005-09-22 through Mpumalanga Parks Board Vehicle from the General Motors Isuzu.
The vehicle details were VIN:ADMTF 77 S5C271696 and Engine Number:4JH1266221.The vehicle was delivered from Factory to Isuzu garage in White River:Mpumalanga. It was received by Mpumalanga Parks Board Transport Officer and handed over to me as it was ordered for me and i financed the vehicle through Wesbank.
The vehicle had varoius stamps on receipt indicating that it was properly checked. As the vehicle was new in the market,i discovered after about three to four months while at service(Elda Delta Motors :Modimolle:Limpopo Province) that the vehicle does not have forklights and the electric wire hanging. The service manager logged a querry with General Motors:South Africa and they promised that they will send the foeklights and be fitted at Elda Delta Modimolle.Whilst waiting for the forklights(bumper) the electric windows opened started to open with difficulty. The same problem was reported again whislt going to the fifth or sixth service.Later the forklughta were send and fitted Elda Delta Motors:Modimolle. The Service Manager resigned at Elda Delta(Thyss Visser) and went to Australia. A new Branch Manager was also brought in at Elda Delta Motors and when enquiring about tge issue of fixing the electric windows and the loose cables underneath the vehicle ,the new Managers indicated that it was not their scopw and the vehicle was procurwd from the factory through a government scheme and all queries must be done there.
I had that unresolved problem until the vehicle caught fire in May 2019.The vehicle was up to date with service and insured with Budget insurance.Budget Insurance appointed a fire specialist to investigate Mr Jan Botha 0834606000.Mr Botha did send me a questionare form which i completed and forwarded back to him.
Mr Jan Botha made various discreet enquiries where i was serving the vehicle at Bela Bela and further to General Motors Sourh Africa(Isuzu).
On enquiry about the outcomes of the ibvestigations,Mr Botha informed me that the fault is with General Motors South Africa and he did gave the report back to Budget Insurance. He further told me that i must request the report from Budget Insurance.
Budget Insurance refused to furnish me with the report and paid me six thousand rands less.
As i had no money to persue the matter legally,i had no option but to accept the laughable offer.
These affected me ,my family and business negatively and i feel very much aggrieved by General Motors :South Africa about their product. It ia further critical to note that Mr Botha indicated that General Motors South Africa acknowledged that, those similar vehicles were produced to the market with electric faults and most were burning.
Most similar bakkie caught fire around my area of Siyabuswa Mpumalanga and Nelspruit area in Mpumalanga where i was working.
I request Hellopeter to assist me to recover my loss from General Motors South Africa
