Our company, Okapi, had provided promotional items to Mumi Kolwezi in the DRC, which operates under the Glencore umbrella. The products were successfully delivered in February 2025, yet to date, we have not received payment. Since then, we have been subjected to ongoing delays and shifting explanations. Initially, we were informed that the PO had been captured under the incorrect company, which is inaccurate, as the original PO clearly reflected my company’s details—this was the basis upon which we accepted and executed the job. The issue was later "resolved" with the issuance of a new PO; however, when payment was expected, we were once again advised of another issue. This has now dragged on for several months,February to date, without resolution, despite Mumi having received and accepted the goods. Our last follow-up was sent on 7 June 2025, and we have yet to receive any response. As a small business, such delays in payment have a direct and negative impact—not only on our operations but also on our ability to meet obligations with our own suppliers. It is deeply concerning and disappointing that an international entity of Glencore’s stature would handle matters in this way.

I've worked 10y as a Qualified Diesel mechanic for Glencore coal mining at Witbank (Tweefontein surface operations)..... Instead of being appreciated for being a loyal employee... Mr David Pitjadi works as a foreman... He was abusive, had favoritism when it to employees that works under him.. This foreman used Glencore's resources to get rid of the people he hated, so far five good qualifyed artisan were dismissed by Glencore, because of him, myself included. But for some reason Glencore sees this person as a good employee... I was unfairly dismissed by Glencore last year because of his doing... Because everyone that attended the disciplinary case was friends with him.. Including the NUM union member who was representing me at that time.. His name is Mr Sipho Mahamba...and Samkelisiwe Maziya was acting as a chairperson at the time.... These people ruined my life..... In front of Glencore... Glencore did nothing!!!!!!!!! as always..
