<div>Think twice before taking your beloved pets to Dr +++. He does not care about the animal, only about the money! Do not gamble with your pets life by going to this vet! They advertise they care for birds such as chickens.... but he does not have the time of day for them!! It even seems like they irritate him!</div>

I can not believe this people are allowed to work with animals and they should be shut down... I rushed my dog to *GLENWOOD BIRD AND ANIMAL HOSPITAL* on Monday because he looked a bit dizzy and was off balance and didn't have any energy or motivation, so this seemed a little strange to me because he is always full of life and one busy bee, so obviously I was very concerned about him and his health... My dog does have epilepsy which I told the doctor and is on chronic medication for it, the doctor told me that it could be his medication that is to strong for him and it would be best to do blood tests, i didn't want to go forward with the blood tests but i knew it was for the best... The doctor then told me to stay in the room while they go and take blood samples for the tests, i told the doctor that i would like to be with my dog because it would keep him calm while I'm there and that he is my everything and I don't feel comfortable leaving him alone in this situation. I never knew what i was signing my dog and myself up for, it was the most traumatic and heartbreaking thing to witness and see how they treated my dog. I witnessed this and was with the doctor and "handlers" while this was happening, so what happens to your dog in the back if you're not present and where nobody can see them? The doctor proceeded to call the "handlers" to come and assist with my dog for the doctor to take some blood, so they started to restrain and hold my dog, i didn't think much of it until they put my dog like in a chokehold poison and strangled my dog, he was gasping for air and was kicking around extremely of the pain they were inflicting on him and mostly because he couldn't breathe and needed to get some air, i told them that they are strangling my dog and he can't breathe. They didn't say anything, they just kept on holding my dog by his neck and body while the doctor tried to look for a vein in his neck to draw the blood from but the doctor also couldn't find one and proceeded to push the needle back and forth searching for a vein, while the "handlers" restrained and strangled my dog. I have never seen such fear in my dogs eyes until that day, he was so scared that he had peed him self. When the doctor couldn't find a vein she told the "handlers" to put my dog in a kennel so that he could calm down, I was in such shock of what I have just actually witnessed that I just turned around and walked outside to get some fresh air and I was struggling to hold back my tears which I failed to do. After i went out the doctor came to me while i was in tears and crying on how they treated my dog, the doctor asked me if everything is okay and i told her, NO everything is NOT okay and that it is not right to treat my dog or any animal that way and then she told me and said "no, dont stress, they are handlers, they know what their are doing" i was so emotional and very cross as well to hear her say that after everything that just happened and I was extremely concerned about my dog and I wanted to get him out and away from this place as soon as possible that I told her/doctor to leave everything and the blood tests, I will pay for the consultation for my dog and then we're done. Then she asked me if she can give my dog 3 injections to help calm him down and help with the dizziness and so forth which I rep**** to and i said *NO... I'm only going to pay for the consultation now cause I wanted to get my dog away from there as fast as I could* then I sent my daughter in to pay for the consultation and get my dog, as I was not capable of doing myself because of the traumatic experience that just occurred and I was way too emotional as well, the doctor told my daughter that she's going to give my dog the 3 injections cause she thinks it will help to take the dizziness away and make him feel beter, the doctor then went and gave my dog the 3 injections which she asked me about and which I said NO too and so without my consent she proceeded with the injections and gave it to my dog anyway. This I only found out after my daughter paid and got my dog and climbed back in the car where I was waiting for them. So i did not just pay for the consultation but also 3 injections that i did not ask for and didn't give my consent for and for it to be given to my dog. My dog was mistreated and has bruises all over is chest where the doctor and "handlers" held my dog and the doctor tried to draw blood. It was the most traumatic experience ever, for the both of us but especially especially for my little baby boy... (I have photo's of my dogs injuries as well)

Our 13year old basset has some kind of cancer growth in his mouth. Usually he is quite grumpy from the uncomfortable situation and the staff at glenwood animal hospital made him so relaxed and at ease and after the procedure he was almost back to himself. Friendly staff, excellent care and so caring to our animal kids. Will highly recommend this practice and Dr Peck is amazing!! Thank You!!!

Great place! I've been taking all my animals to Dr. Peck since 2020 and every experience was fantastic. It's very clear that his heart and passion is for the animals. I've taken all my animals, from dogs, to Chinchillas, to Parrots there and the care and knowledge provided are always top notch both from Dr. Peck as well as Dr. Snyman. They always go out of their way to help during normal consultations, as well as emergencies. The staff at Glenwood is fantastic. Prices are not too high. It's actually very reasonable. 100% would recommend.

Wow, Glenwood Bird and Animal Hospital has really helped me take care of my fur babies. I have a disabled Blue and Gold Macaw, and due to her disability she needs extra loving care. Dr. Bruce Peck helped me so much in the last two years. I would strongly recommend this vet because not only the pets are looked after but pet owners too, with affordable prices and warm hearts, you and your pet will feel at home. They really do the best they can to help your animal babies and to keep them healthy. A big thanks to the whole team at Glenwood bird and animal hospital.

The vet says he loves animals and that he doesn't ask much, please don't believe him. The vet does not give you a price, when you keep on asking for a price he says don't worry we will sort it and it won't be much. Not a week later you get a massive account and you have only pay it in a certain period. It's pathetic especially if you don't have that kind of money. He has too many business.
