Exhorbitant deposit demands

I am doing a conference and approached Go Rentals to hire a laptop.

I got quoted R 995, (after three days of back and fourth, demanding every increasing private information) but when the invoice arrived they demanded R 3500 deposit, which would take 10 days to refund, after the weeks rental period, and the equipment has been returned!

Very unprofessional, and time consuming when they could have stated that from the beginning.

I have hired from go rentals in the past, with no issues, but will not be calling on them again, I will take my business elsewhere.
