I made a booking with a confirmation number 4845202078 during the month of June and paid R3800 deposit for or November 2024. Last week of August my mother in-law passed away and after the funeral the family choose a date of 30 November 2024 for cleansing and when the elders have decided no one can dispute a date and I called the hotel and asked them to change the date of my booking and was advised to cancel and make a new booking which I did and now they refuse to refund my R3800 and tell me that they are doing me a favour I should pay the full amount they don't make cancellations or change dates, by taking my R3800 is actually them waiving. On the 3rd September I got an email which said Gooderson Tropicana hotel has agreed to waive the cancellation fee on this occasion. You will not be charged for this cancellation. But now they are refusing to refund or change dates
