I took my vehicle to Midrand Grand Cental Motors for a diagnostic test, and a claim was submitted to my insurance. The insurance paid for the diagnostic claim on 01 November 2024 and I sent an email to Hennie ******ts, the Service Advisor who I had been in contact with throughout this process, to inform him that the car would be collected around 11:00. There was no issues with him or his service until my husband picked up the car, he noticed it was dusty and not cleaned, which is unusual given the level of service we’re accustomed to there. I emailed Hennie to express my disappointment, as this didn’t match their usual standards. Instead of clarifying or explaining that they don’t wash vehicles after diagnostics, Hennie responded rudely, saying, “Your vehicle was parked under a roof… it was dusty and waiting for you to collect it.” When I tried to understand his meaning, he dismissed me and didn’t provide any further explanation. Why would a service provider respond so defensively rather than assisting the customer? A simple clarification about why the vehicle was dusty or explaining their policy on car washing after tests would have been enough.
