R192 for a 300g steak, R80-90 for their starters, R90 for a burger without chips or drink, R110 for a chourico roll, the list goes on...what in the good God is happening with your prices and what planet do you live on to think that you can charge double what places like Fahrenheit charge for steaks when you are a pub?! No specials, no changes to the menus aside from a constant increase in prices. Locals don't need to get broken into to get robbed, just take a trip down to the Grand Slam pub in Dowerglen and watch your money disappear on food that is average and in the rest of the world would be classified as typical pub chow but with an extra twist here, 100% more of the price!

Sports diner with terrible waitressing by a lass named Nicola brings private affairs into a professional environment which is tangent especially considering the fact that the customer is always right. She tends to insult and use foul language toward customers.

<p>I am an indian gent who visited Grand Slam in Edenvale today( 6th November)to have lunch. I waited for a table and then when I sat down I had to ask for a menu. The waitress walked past me many times and after an hour of me waiting gave up as she still had not come to take my order. Shocking service to say the least and to make it worse the manager was present and did nothing to resolve. I will never go back there and will be telling everyone I know about this horific experience.</p>

We had a group farewell at Grand Slam on Saturday for about 30 persons<br> Everyone placed their order at the same time<br> They all received their food but I still waited. 30 Minutes after everyone had finished eating, we asked the waitress where our food was. We were told that the order did not go through I asked for the manager who took about 20 minutes to arrive. He did not care about the incident not even an offer to pay for our drinks<br> Why do they always blame computers when the waitress can not be bothered to check if everyone has their order<br> This was the first and last time there NEVER AGAIN<br> Typical could not care attitude

I visited Grand Slam on the 15th of November for a Sunday lunch with some mates. At the end of the meal I paid and the waiter told me the transaction had not gone through so I swiped again. I discovered a day or two later on the internet banking that they had charged me twice. Initially I tried to phone but had no luck. I sent an email and received my first response from Johan on November 24th. We have since traded various emails each back and forth, he is always courteous on the mails but his promises have gone no where. He promised last week Friday saying \I will refund you the money from my personal account and get the money bank from the bank"";I will never support them again."""

Spent R80 on a Chourico & Jalapeno roll and basically got a small empty dry roll with no chips or drink. Waited forever for the takeaway as our waitress was too busy with the bigger table behind us. Still got the picture of this lousy excuse for a main meal - daylight robbery plain and simple
