We booked 3 nights at Hakunamatata. On arrival the fridge was dirty, kitchen bin spilling over and dirty, bathroom basin had hair in. Bedding was shabby, pillows old, stained, and way past the "replace by" condition. Towels were too small for comfort. There were no pots or cooking utensils, just a stove. Tv could only be used if you had your own Multichoice or Netflix profile. Air conditioner did not work properly. A lady came to clean the kitchen bin and bin cabinet, without sanitizer using just a damp cloth. She then proceeded to clean the fridge using the same cloth without even rinsing it. Then went to wipe the bathroom basin. The restaurant is privately owned and not up to standard. We cut our visit short and left straight after breakfast on the first morning, cancelling two nights. We advised the manager on upgrading. He offered to invite us back after upgrading, which we declined due to lack of recreational facilities. There is a pool, but unfortunately it is mostly in the shade. We proceeded to write the manager letters encouraging upgrades. We requested a refund more than once. Our refund requests have been totally ignored. We have not received any emails regarding a refund or acknowledgement of our request. We received an invoice/receipt for the R5500 CASH payment, which we had paid on arrival, only after we left and had asked for it.
