I was extremely disturbed by the poor accommodation shown at Havana Grill Suncoast. My team and I were booked at the restaurant for a client to do an event setup and the treatment that my team received was really pathetic, degrading and unethical on all levels by the owner named Nancy. My team was told to wait at the elevators down at the suncoast building and wait for an employee of this restaurant to assist us in directing us where to go. This lady, the co owner of Havana Grill Suncoast treated my team in such an aggressive and rude beyond measure manner. We were told the staff of the restaurant will show us to the room booked to setup in. One of my employees greeted this woman and she completely snubbed him. Later in the elevator whilst of loading event items she verbally abused my employee in the full view of all present using derogatory terms. My emoloyee only asked her in a polite manner where do we setup as any event planning company would do and she used derogatory terms in her replies. She had said " where the f*** are you setting up?" and my employee replied as per client's instructions that you will be showing us where to setup as there are many areas booked out in this restaurant. She then swore again saying we are only offloading now yet no one made aware to us that someone was even present to assist. I, on a personal capacity, visit this restaurant and support their business but going forward I will never ever again! My team was embarrassed, verbally abused, and was made looking incompetent! Her reply after escalating this issue with the other manager was "This is my second language." I was really taken by shock that as a co owner of this well known restaurant this is how you approach visitors let alone people who need your assistance. This lady has zero interpersonal skills, no respect for other individuals, she looks like a frustrated and unapproachable individual. I have worked with many restaurants big and small, and I have never in my life heard of someone speaking to my employees in this manner. My employees did not show her any signs of rudeness or disrespect for her to speak in this manner and it's even more shocking that she thought it's totally okay. This goes against their ethics. As a business individual it is your job to make people feel comfortable and accomadated but she has done the total opposite and more. My team was really disturbed by this and the hardest thing to fathom is that she is the co owner yet treated my employees in such a cold, rude and disregarding approach. Pathetic in my words. Very upset and disappointing. How on earth do you welcome people at your restaurant! How do you just use derogatory terms on people who has not done anything to trigger you except be polite. This was really a distasteful experience.
