I bought a car from them for R250 000 for my birthday cash, thinking that it's a car dealership with good reviews so the chances of getting *****ed over was small. Bought the car and didn't even make it home. It has been in and out of the garage for the past 2 years. finally they said sorry there is nothing that we can do. I ended up paying an extra R50 000 to take it into the dealership. Stay away.

I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a car from this dealership. Within 24 hours of purchasing my vehicle, it broke down, yet I was not allowed to return it despite being within the cooling-off period. In the first month alone, the car went back to them four times. Since then, I’ve had to take it to a mechanic every month since. I was told that I was simply being “panicky” because I had previously been in a car accident. That was incredibly dismissive. The reality is that this car has been unreliable and unsafe from the start. Definitely not what was portrayed when I test drove the vehicle. On top of that, the vehicle is financed, which makes this an even more stressful nightmare — I’m paying instalments on a car I can’t trust, plus the constant cost of repairs. Essentially, I’m paying double every month just to keep it going. I’ve been left stranded on the highway alone, which is terrifying as a woman in South Africa. The car is unreliable. Less than a year later, I’m already back on the market looking for another car. This dealership has made what should have been an exciting purchase into one of the most stressful experiences of my life.

Petrus Hayes and his co-directors solicit investmet from the public into his floundering used car business. He then sells the cars without repaying the rightful owners. Our group lost over R3M dealing with Petrus, and we are still paying license fees on vehicles he sold to unsuspectinng members of the public. Steer clear of these people- they are the worst of used car sharks.
