HILLSIDE There is a small rather insignificant village in the great Karoo, named Trompsberg. It is about midway between Cape Town and Johannesburg,making it an ideal overnight stop. Just outside of Trompsberg is Hillside, a large modern working farm. This beautiful farm has well-appointed, air conditioned suites, with all the facilities one would need: huge bedrooms with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with fitted handrails for handicappers like me.

Delicious dinners are served in your suite, on request. The specialties include mutton curry, homemade pie and bobotie. Chocolate brownies and ice cream rounds off the evening meal.

You are pampered by a motherly ‘gogo’, who prepares and serves a continental breakfast.
